VARIOUS STATES OF 964RS TUNE REQUIRED

Just kidding Laurence so please don't take anything I say seriously (most people don't) and certainly no offence meant/taken. To be honest, I didn't know how many cats are on the car or how many a std car came with - checked after and there appears to be one. Everyone who has looked at the car, including some who are in the know, have said all looks standard.

Oh ginger one - take it easy as no licence no play (and no job in your case). Hope all else is well. Planning to meet Vic and Ajit next week if you are around in the big smoke.

Regards

Cup Car -320bhp at G-Force.

From the RS Tuning Shopping List:

Sports catalyst (standard is 1000 cells; the sports is also called 100 cell sports catalyst sometimes) -standard Cup Car fitment.

[/b]Adapted air intake (993 part)

[/b]Bigger "Throttle Flap"

[/b]Sport Airfilter (K&N)

[/b]Cup-Pipe (although I've reverted to standard C2 box due track day noise problems......) -standard Cup Car fitment.

[/b]Revised cams;

Work done on the cylinderheads, polishing etc;

[/b]Air mass sensor -The sensor for measuring the mass of the air passing through the intake (as with the 993 model) rather than the amount (as standard with the 964) - AFAIK this goes along with the bigger throttle flap and the 993 intake. This alone does get you close to 300bhp I was told....

[/b]Reprogramming the Motronic on a stationary engine test stand. This is good as the cheap guys just fit the 993 parts and put a standard chip in, whereas I was told that the tuning should ALWAYS include a reprogramming on a test and making sure your engine is optimized and not just running an average off-the-shelf optimized Motronic.
