Very Quiet

Out of interest how many have been sold in the UK?

According to howmanyleft.co.uk only 1,256 were taxed in total at the end of 2011. Interestingly, another 114 have a SORN against them

When I was at Reading OPC last year they said they only aim to sell about 1 a month.

Do you mean 60 a month? why would they SORN new cars?.... and on that list they dont show the Diesel model.

I'm sure he said 1 a month, but that was probably at each OPC. I think the idea from Porsche HQ is to keep it an exclusive car.

The SORN figure puzzles me; so I think we have to take the figures quoted on the web site with a small pinch of salt.

Great to meet you yesterday Ronnie. Perhaps we can grab a beer in Swansea some time?

The Panamera is quite an exclusive car and I get the impression Porsche are seeking to keep it such, which is all the better for you as it should keep up residuals in a car market renown for free fall.

It is perhaps an unusual car for an enthusiast (unless they have experienced a Panamera first hand) and, as such, will probably float under the Club radar for some time until they start to become available second hand.

However, as you saw yesterday this certainly shouldn't diminish your enjoyment of Porsche Club as the Panzermera[;)] is a very accomplished Porsche. It is certainly one of my favorites of the current line up.

Keep up the good work in promoting the Panzer, I am sure there will be more joining you as time goes on........What you need is a Register Sec. someone enthusiastic who isn't afraid to travel. Ideally they would want a comfortable car that will still return 30+ to the gallon and go around corners as if it had velcro instead of tyres......now who could that be?

Thank you very much John and yes contact me via the forum and I would love to grab a beer with you when you are next down the Gower.

It was a really great day out yesterday and me and the wife thoroughly enjoyed and I was surprised how many people chatted to me about the car, maybe others in the club might like a four door Porsche and break out of the mould of the 911's but I doubt that very much, but the car sure turns heads which i did not expect from a salon car.

I did notice there was no Register Sec for the Panamera but I have only been a member of the club since January and wouldn't know where to start or what to do, but it sure would be nice to get the Panamera model off the ground within the club.
