If it's the tobacco green SC you're interested in (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OAK-GREEN-TOBACCO-1979-PORSCHE-911-SC-COUPE-PASCHA-NICE-CLEAN-CAR/264642642381) have a real good look at the kidney bowls and B posts. I see rust bubbles coming through by the release for the rear lid.

The lighting for the driver's side B post photo is poor and there appear to be water drops which don't help. So can't really see if it has bubbles as well.
It's simply that once the bubbles appear in the paint the rust has eaten all the way through the metalwork from the other side. And if one side of the car is rotting the other is usually not far behind.
It would be very unusual for a car of that age and mileage to not have had extensive rust repair done. I would think that a seller would be keen to point this out to put a potential buyer's mind at ease. I also note from the MOT history a comment that the car has been extensively undersealed. This is a good thing if it happened before the rust started but if it was used to cover over rust then that's not such a good thing.

I saw that receipt and couldn't get my head around who did the work for whom. Is it BR's self-to-self invoice (at a crackers price)? The car is on BRs website https://borderreivers.co/portfolio/porsche-911sc-green/ as a car previously sold by them.
The service book shows no stamps between 2001 and 2014 which isn't an issue in and of itself but there are no invoices for that period. Hmm.
The MOT history has a comment about B post corrosion in 2006 and various comments about dragging brakes and corroded pipes over the years but no receipts to show they were ever addressed.
It looks like it changed hands in the summer of 2019 and is now up for sale again?
If you fancy the colour scheme and can ensure due diligence is carried out it might be worth investigating. What look like the names of the last two owners are in plain sight on the paperwork.

August 28th 2019 the car was in the hands of Boarder Reivers as you stated. Funny it should change hands so quickly? I have just today written to one of the past owners regarding the vehicle.
This is more a curiosity adventure for me now as I have learned some information.

I'm new to the pcgb forum and look forward to contributing to it. I have a 1972 2.7T, but had been looking at this Oak Green SC when it was listed, and found it had previously been sold as a 'barn find' with visible rust, and then clearly had superficial work to make it present better. So believe it still needs a full restoration.
I hope people don't mind me resurfacing this thread, but I'm still interested in the car despite the work needed; I wonder if anyone here bought it? I asked the selling garage about passing on my details and the garage wouldn't even reply to me.
If anyone knows who bought it, or another oak green that might be up for sale soon, do please let me know.

The best place to get opinion on ability and credibility of dealers etc is the 911UK forum.
They have a very open and honest policy unlike other forums who are cautious with potential "name and shame” which allow the likes of Gmund and SCOM to get away with their shady practices for so long.
