I've posted this in here as there is more chance of it being seen than in the wanted section.

I am looking for a set of genuine Porsche 944 Magnesium Cup wheels like the ones below.

Has anyone got a set or know where I can find a set?

Cant help with that Martin,

The sort of thing that may pop up at Techno Classica?

I do have a set of 951 Teledial and a set of 951 Fuchs but I'm married to 'em. [:)]

back to my pop corn.......

George
944t

Friend of mine has two refurbished sets but they are on display with other rare Porsche wheels at his place... [:)]

Sorry

Looking at the pic of the teledial in White just gave me a "wheely" good idea for a next wheel colour adventure ..
CSs in white please!

Teledials look rubbish on a 944 Martin, especially a 944 Turbo [8|].

But these aren't normal Teledials, they are wide 16" lightweight ones that are Pearl White and look the Muts Nutz [:D]

Not only would the car look better, but it would also ride waaaaaaay better than on 18" wheels, mate [;)]

I've got a couple of possible sets, just waiting for confirmation on part numbers and pictures [:)]

Fingers crossed I can get a set sorted

How would you know mate? I thought most people on here were "purists" and ran their cars on tiny little 16" wheels [;)]!

I guess I should have a clue or two about it as I have been pulling my hair finding ways to bring a friend's car, who wants to stay with 18" wheels "just for the look", to handle just like mine (currently on 17" btw). The sad thing is that he is ready to spend a fortune on whatever might work to finally find out it still doesn't handle as well as with smaller wheels, mate! [;)]

Oi! [:D]

I quite like my 16" wheels....

Do whatever you like to improve the cars mechanically, but leave them alone visually. It's not "purist", it's just I'm not a better designer than the people working for Porsche, so I leave the design to them. [&:]

Nothing worse than a classic 70's design trying too hard to look more modern. I don't even like the front end on the S2/turbos, to be honest. Just as the US spec cars weren't a visual improvement! [&o]

I suppose a Miura looks old-fashioned on it's 15" wheels, and should be on 18s with rubber-band tyres? Or a 250GTO could be improved with some bigger wheels, a combined sat-nav/stereo and some nice aftermarket rear lights? [;)]

Yeah, whatever Paul.

Where did all this 5h1t come from? First of all, I'm not your mate! Secondly, I was just ribbing Martin, who I have had a lot
of dealings with over the past few months and, who I find to be a really nice guy. Finally, my car runs and handles superbly
on 18's but, I suspect it may have something to do with the excellent suspension package that Jon' Mitchell installed on my
'44 Turbo [8D]. So, I don't really see where your personal attack on the handling characteristics of 18" wheels came from?

Not only do you come out as a rather rude and unsubtle person in most of your posts but now you are showing some inability to take what other people say with a grain of salt. You are not the only one entitled to post tongue-in-cheek remarks on here, as far as I know, MATE.

ETA : sorry Martin for wandering OT somehow.

I've deleted my own reply, as you said it better! [:)]

If you want a forum with a different tone, Pete, find another one. We have about 20,000 people here who like it the way it is....[8|]

Sorry, but I don't need to come home from work to complaints about one person's rudeness. And stupid attempts to beat the swear-filter. Take it somewhere else? []

Off to reply individually to the people who've complained. Thanks, as that's part of my family time I can't get back.

Rude! Are you having a laugh?! TTM, you kept making a point of calling me MATE, when we have never met. Then go on to slag
off cars that run on 18's all over my "joking" comments to Martin! I find your attitude rather RUDE! What, in any of my posts in
this thread, have I said that comes across as rude?! If my using the word SH-T has caused offence to the populace of this forum,
so much so that they ALL phone up or E-Mail the moderator to complain about me then, they have all lead very sheltered lives or,
else ought to get a life and stop whinging about trivia FFS [:(]. Thank you for all the apologies made on my behalf Paul, you really
shouldn't of bothered. I'm also very sorry for spoiling your family life. Never my intention. But, that's all I am going to apologise
for [8|]. SO, before all rush of further complaints come hurtling your way Paul, along with the knives and daggers, let me just say
here that if you want me to leave this forum for good, along with PCGB then, I will do so without further comment.
