Wanted 993 rs

ORIGINAL: RIVIERAM002 Guess everyone has a price in which they would part with there air cooled motor, then spend years trying to replace it []
Steve, we know we were fortunate enough to get in not only at the right time, price wise, but also availability of cars. I would almost walk away from The RS scene if I sold, as I doubt I would pay to get back in...hence my reluctance, easy to just keep it!

ORIGINAL: clubsport Des, As ChrisW rightly says "many would if only the money is right!" No rush, no need, but hardly using it much.......still more fun to be had with it and will probably sell it for Deutsche marks, when we get those back!
You love it too much ClubMeister, often popped round unannounced and you are under it polishing an upright!

You eyes may be deceiving you mate, or perhaps it's a trick of the light? [:D]

ORIGINAL: RIVIERAM002 Been in contact with someone who is currently looking for a 993 rs, anybody know of one for sale? Thomas is over in London tonight collecting a Midnight Blue 993 rs, so that one is going back to Germany tomorrow.

Black 993 rs clubsport up for sale now, it always surprises me just whats out there, only seen one clubsport in Black, back in 2005 at the PCGB event at Brands Hatch.

There are 2 x black RHD CS. Ex Matt Bouncer car (I think the guy bought thats plus the black RHD GT2 from Sean Lockyear approx 5 years ago) Nice car that PH mentioned on here, sold via SCOM, first 100k 993 RS, possibly now part of Bamfords collection Who is selling the one you are talking about Steve?

ORIGINAL: Mike Cooper 33 I do some business with Porsche and had a museum tour on Tuesday. They have a big spoiler Riv Blue 993RS in the museum now. When it's not on display it's kept in the underground car park so if you are there take a look. It's gorgeous.
Does it have a freshly detailed engine and engine bay?..............[:)][:)][:)][:)]

Who is selling the one you are talking about Steve?
Im hoping he does not mind me revealing his identity, its James Fillingham aka jimmysir, ive always wanted a black 993 rs clubsport however after 6 years of getting mine just how I want it, I would not relish the thought of doing it all again.

Steve, will you ever be truly happy with an ubiquitous M002 variant? [:D] I know I was for a while but just HAD to get a clubbie! [:D]

But of course, I'm buying Mike 'Essential' C's Riviera Blue Clubsport, only trouble is he doesn't know it yet, [:D]

It wouldn't be shiny enough Steve... Read a report over the weekend re eurozone melt down and talked about £€ back to 1.50 and possibly 1.70, that could open up the flood gates for cars coming back across again. Thinking it'a more euro weakness rather than pound strengh.

Mike, is that mag article on yours out yet? browsed WHS at weekend but didnt see it, was it classic car mag?

Mike when the € gets that beaten up, the Deutsche mark will soon be back in circulation, with enough of a horn to scoop up all of the cheap leftie RS over here.. You will be ok with Rhd as eventually, the far eastern buyers will, just have to have it!

Interesting topic ........ I guess there is a possibility of some interesting pricing anomolies that might be thrown up by countries reverting to legacy currencies while exchange rates settle down.... I strongly suspect that the exotic Pork market will essentially be Deutschmark based regardless of the home currency. I think even a new Deutschmark would, in its early days, be knocked versus sterling, though, as Germany will have massive costs and soaring unemployment due to the Euro collapse. Could just kill the car market stone dead for quite a while. Expect the Far Eastern buyers to step in and start hoovering up ..... Jamie
