It stops them freezing up so you can actually use them

But they will surely warm up as the engine warms up, after all they practically sit on top. Plus the water isnt getting warmed up so even if the jets work the water squirting onto the screen is only marginally warmer than the ice on the screen, which doesnt make much difference anyway. I have never had a car with heated jets before and had the jets freeze up. Anyway its something you can tell other car owners about. Lloyd
