Weight?

1500 with all your "dashtop accessories"

You could have saved me a tenner there Mark:-

Beaky with full tank of fuel 1420kg + me @ 78kg = 1498kg

For those of you trying to make sense of these things, Beaky is an 88 model 220 Turbot with 250 front suspension, medium large blacks, drilled 928s4 disks, strut brace, air con, ABS, 968 CS anti rollbars (front & rear), front splitter, 966/Boxster 17" wheels, LSD (but no cooler), cloth interior with split rear seats, Autostyle premier over mats front and back. In the boot we had space saver spare, std jack, 1ltr spare oil, std tool kit, umberela and broken luggage blind.

In the car we have a few odds and ends, a map, a boost gauge, an AFR gauge, Link MAP programmer, a Sony head unit, std speakers and nothing to realy up the weight.

Main contributing factors to weight include 1 No Whitesnake and 1 No EC CD's - both pretty heavy obviously.
 
Again, trying to make some sense of it all, a silly question that I'm embarassed not to know but....

Its about 73% of water, give or take.

specific gravity is around 0.733
 
specific gravity is around 0.733

Cool. So, as we know, 1tr of water is 1Kg (funny that) so 1 ltr of petrol is .733 Kg

The Tank holds 80 ltrs so 80 x .733 = 58.64 Kg

On the same thought:-

a well worn pullover 406 gramms
a slightly soiled hankie 12g
£7 in pouind coins 60g
Ipaq & case 216g
Phone holder 128g
1 CD in its box 106g
Ericsson T39m Phone 86g

So one could easily vary by 3-5kg or so just through odds and sods.
 
I think the washer bottle also plays a part in this as mine, which has the headlamp washers, has a 'kin huuuuuuugh washer bottle

Ahh his it 6kgs? [8D] Thats for pure water but what abotu a water glycol mix eh..... I recon 5.9kgs for a full washer bottle + dead load from said bottle.. [:D]

Just rip out everything that doesnt stop it from starting/stopping and turning - 1200 must be about the best you can achieve without starting to drill holes in bits of metal ? What do you recon 1200kg or less ? (full tank of fuel and 75kg driver - not me then [;)] )
 
I can't be bothered to trawl back through the rules at www.msdpcgb.co.uk [8|] but I think when the 944 Turbos raced in the Porsche Cup back in 2000/2001 they were at 1150kg including fluids and driver [:)]

Mine isn't a turbo, but my car weighs 1148kg with no spare tire or tools, and a 1/2 tank of gas. No holes drilled yet, all fairly straight-forward weight reduction stuff and deletion of non-needed accessories. It's still fairly street-able.

Now, add my fat-arse back into the equation, and of course that measurement sky-rockets! [:mad:]

PMSL weigh bride in a "scrappy" and they use that same bridge to tell you what weight of scrap they are going to buy off you. lolss

Emmm i dont think thats correct.

Either that or they stole your engine without you looking.

No A/C

No Sunroof

None electric seats.

I took the electric seats out of my Lux to repair, these are very heavy.
