Hi helen, what would one be expected to pay , if a car like yours were to become availible?

difficult question to answer as there as so many veriables with these cars.but as a rough guide you can expect to pay around £30k for a reasonable one and up to about £45k for a mint RHD SWB 911S. and i've seen some advertised for more.

theres a really beautiful RHD signal orange 911t for sale on DDK at the moment for about £26k [8D]

Nice one, Helen. An over-rider stopper story ! Years ago, at a yearly PCGB meet ( Cambridge 1986, that dates me ! ) I stopped to chat to a member preparing a pretty silver Earlybird for Concours entry. I noticed an absent blanking plug on an over-rider and
remarked on possible loss of marks. He confessed that he could not get one in time. I offered to lend him one of mine, offer gratefully
accepted. Moments later, I saw a missing internal door lock button ! Same comment and reply, and offer, and acceptance !
Damn me if he didn't get 2nd in Class ! For me and my wife, a nice lunch with a bottle or two followed !
So two bits of my '73 Targa have appeared in a prize-winning capacity, at a major Concours. Such is fame.
Good luck. I still have the Targa ( with bits ), going like a train at 114K. Colin Palmer

[8D]now thats what i call club spirit..
one great thing about these cars is if they are looked after they just go on and on. the more they are ued the better they get [8D]

I saw this orange blur on my way home this afternoon - sounded nice as it went by on the way towards Kegworth. (Though you really ought to put your lights on when its dull and rainy - almost didn't see you). Hope the car is going well.

Awesome - look after the old girl.

will do, we will be on show at the NEC classic car show 14th-16th Nov. then down to Goodwood for a track day [8D]. then she will have earned a refebishmnt of the wheels, some new tyres and maybe have some driving lights & some fog lights fitted.

shes done under 60k miles from new. (and i've done nearly 5k this year) so i worry i am devaluing her but. what the hell, these cars were made for using and enjoying.

Well mine is at 99,000 [:(] after doing 5k in it too this year, so you're doing ok. It's a shame its going to hit 100,000 but what can you do! Its been to Stuttgart (1500 miles in 4 days) and the Le Mans Classic. They need driving to keep them sweet. Perhaps I'll see your car at the show!

here it is!
