Hi John
I Really liked the picture
At the speed that you were travelling at, no wonder you looked white. Was it on the Limit ?

Ken
Let' s see more of your pictures please

Just wanted to make a first post and say hello.

I Hope the pcgb discussion group becomes as useful to me as Rennlist has.

Ken,

That picture wasn' t q-u-i-t-e at the limit. Somewhere, I have another which shows the tacho needle just beyong the redline - speedo indicating 170mph. This picture is a better shot, though, as it' s nice and clear and shows foot-to-the floor! Taken on a favourite Autobahn, close to the Nurburgring.

Interestingly, this particular shot was taken whilst I was being tailed by another 964 (Brian Thompson' s - aka the ' Blue Shadow' !) which very nearly came to grief because the tail pipe and final box of my exhaust had not been retightened properly after a recent service (at an un-named location!) and was about to drop off!

Hi All
Just thought i aught to share a picture of my baby. I bought it last month after ages looking for one.

Hi Neil
Welcome to the forum, I like the pix. Where did you find the sunny weather last month to hold a concours !?
What is the manufacture of the streering wheel, it looks quite impressive.
Best wishes
Ken

Ken that looks like the 3 spoke wheel that was fitted to 968 Club Sports (and others). I have one in black with a Porsche Crest in the middle from JZ Machtech, feels much nicer than the standard ' Lozenge'

Neil, did you purchase the car from Will Jones? He has/had an identical targa! Nice looking car.

Well spotted sir!
It is the very one. He contacted me through John Miles site and read that i was looking for one and he would rather sell it to an enthusiast than someone who would not look after it. If you are familiar with the car you will know that Will took very good care of it and treat it to a few extra goodies e.g big red conversion but with yellow calipers, lowered suspension FVD sportskit (Bilstein struts and Eibach springs) the list goes on.
Here is close up of the caliper.
Regards
Neil

I am ok with a 993 - anyone who has seen these cars close up know they are really 964' s with slightly dodgy build quality - the slide to softer bmw-like cars started with the 993 - wiring looms made of brittle coatings - cheapskates!

Here comes the cavalry! Hi Alexander, thanks for joining me on the forum.
Rather different to www.titanic.co.uk/964 and smartgroups that we are more used to. But undoubtedly this forum does embrace the all of the Club Membership. I' m already enjoying the banter, as well as sharing information with the other Registers.

In reply to Bluebottle' s message a couple of days ago, Paul suggested that the Club' s forum being UK based can well serve the Membership in one way, by giving personal recommendations of good Sevice and Suppliers. I will add here again, you can recommend, but it' s against the rules for legal reasons to criticize.

Looking forward to lots of contributions from you. Your technical knowledge will be much appreciated.[8|]

Dear fellow 964-ers,

Congratulations to all concerned on the new forum. Perhaps all ' intruders' to our forum need some muscle to see them off.

Best regards and keep up the good work.

ENJOY.......
