What's happening with Mr Empson's machine?

[:D]

I'm contracting, but work are cool (or they really don't want to have to look for another PM right when we're delivering a new business process) so I'm working from home via Citrix and the phone.

I expect the wires to hurt - doc says I'll probably want them removed again after it's all settled down. I'll have a nice stripe on my elbow as well I imagine. Looking at my right arm there's a fair old bruise in the sae place so I must have given it a clunk as well - I dread to think what it would be like if I'd broken both.

Hmmm. And I'm guessing that you didn't complete the wiring for the fandango new home entertainment system you were installing when it happened, so won't be able to appreciate it while recuperating.

So, broken arm, wires (in elbow, not in wall) and a CRT TV with speakers that belong in a portable radio .... I feel for you, my friend! Just hope that NZ beer is better than the Australian offerings ...

Oli.

Actually I was running HDMI and cat 5 to transmit Sky HD output and IR commands between rooms, so I can watch the 52" LCD with Dolby Digital in one room quite comfortably (turning a blind eye to the speaker cables running along the floor), and there is definitely some decent beer here at least for us non bitter drinkers.

Actually I realised a few weeks ago while we were discussing such things in the office that there is no longer a CRT of any type in our house; something I was pretty amazed by at the time.
