Whats it worth?

I suppose the Boxster may be a more realistic proposition for some - newer and more modern etc.. However, I suspect many potential buyers of a 944T (or any 944 for that matter) are actually looking for a 944 (or maybe a 924s or 968) and the Boxster isn't on the radar for them. They're looking for a 944 - or at least I was!

No comparison but I was thinking old/classic/different - 944 - or new/modern/good value - 350z - when I was looking. I had missed my old 944 and was ultimately swayed by the practicality of the 944. Just my opinion.

Understand entirely where you are coming from but this has been debated ad infinitum on here (do a search) and primarily enthusiasts will buy a 944 but they are few and hard to find and even harder to get them to part with the readies.

Instead, cheap Porsche ownership, which was once the 944`s domain (and derided for it by Porschefiles) is now seen as a Boxster.

The problem is that people dont see Boxsters as particularly old nor expensive as they have a good solid reputation and if you`ve driven one then you`ll know what a very very good car they are.

Personally, if I was looking I`d have another 944T but then I`m biased towards them.

The car in question will sell as it is a nice one if rust free however I`d change the wheels as they really date it.

I took 17" cups off my 220 and had the teledials refurbished and refitted, personally i like them, anyone want some mint early offset cups (reps) ?
JM the car is right, need to do a couple of little jobs, sunroof lifting unevenly and a rattle on the backbox, which will be attended to in spring, both 944's SORN in winter thiugh i do run them every couple of weeks, yes with no road tax, i am willing to suffer the consequnces rather than have them sitting with tax on.
When the Highways Agency sort the roads out i may tax them all year round we stil have potholes from the last freeze earlier in the year ! (2010)

thanks for your comments folks.

plenty of food for thought.

I did go through the modern wheel idea and occassionally still do but I do like the original teledial look also.

think I will save myself some money.

would rather an lsd in the back

Sadly (and madly) I would say the £4000-£5000 mark is the max achieveable for a really nice 220 model as this one seems to be, should be loads more but such is life I guess. Personally I wouldn't sell it ,still miss my very early 220 much nicer out the box to drive than a 250.
