Just wanted to get you guys activated (--- or I could just emigrate to Pistonheads !)

Anybody tracking one at the moment ?

' Care to join me oop North ?

There's fun to be had !!

what someone is prepared to pay

993....the elderly petrol heads choice, comes with free beard, slippers and zymol starter kit[:D]

U buying or selling Chris ? £65-135k high mileage to less than 10000 miles and mint ..............................all the rest is true Jason , i am even too old to grow a beard ......................just off to Brands for The Gaurds Trophy to remind me of my youth

I'm keeping, Vic, but there are so many on the market at what seem to be imaginary prices ?

And there's nothing better than a "how much" thread to activate minds [;)]

I'll be there if you mean the one of the 14th? However, my 911 is in peices so will be in the caterham. Will with a crowd of porsche people, taking abuse about bathtubs and the like. [:D]

I'm going to tackle the chap who sold mine to me as I didn't get the zymol, beard or slippers. He did provide a pipe though?

The muttering was that the pipe helped pass the time spent waiting after a spirited drive for the 964 to catch up?

Vic just mentioned PCGB day on July 28th I think he said.

Get a few 993s out for that day instead?

will be first Club day i ve done in ages .........................thats the real value Chris + very nice man in Wembley Park just soldered a little wire back on to the solenoid that opens my resonance flap........................watch out those who took advantage of an old man over thje last few Track days ....Mel especially !

Vic, glad you got it sorted, I bet it runs a treat now, couldn't believe how light it was!

Just curious, what resonance flap is this?...No varioram on cuppies, didn't think there was anything other than a MAf to cause problems, any idea what the resonance flap relates to?..cheers.

Cheeky lot , its worth it just to know something Clubsport doesnt .............u are right there s no Varioram....................have to get up to the big S on 28th to find out!!! i can show u the wire ,the solenoid and the 'end 'of the resonance flap that has a massive effect [ not just power] bit like a big butterfly on a carb !

Well there weren't many Caterhams waiting for the only 964RS at Cadwell Park today, to catch up !

Ask Jason --- we nearly blew "the bloody wheels off !"

They were newly painted in lovely baby Pink by Matt, and with the heat the paint seems to have melted on the hubs leaving a gap that turned into a rattling wheel ... YUK !

Better than the Mags, at least the paint stayed on the outside ...

Actually, both rear wheels were loose, only one rattled.

So, remember to torque check your wheels chaps [:)]

Such a shame that the 28th is a Tuesday, --- what is one supposed to do with the Monday following the Silverstone Classic ?

just heard it's fully booked

I have a caterham and love it. Great smiles per pound car.... There we go again about values.....

Agreed, and Caterham have just had to increase production ...

I like the look of the new R300 ... the new 175bhp Zetec seems to be a very feisty motor, but they do have the aerodynamics of a brick ...

exactly, mine runs out of puff on the circuits with the longer straight bits but that sort of suits me.

Some complain about driving rs / cups/ clubsports to circuits but they are a lot more comfy that treking a few hundred miles in a 7. That said im possibly putting my seven up for sale in the next month or so

2 friends of mine just exiting 7s for 911 SC on PMOs (all in weight 1080kg fully dressed...) and a 964rs.

Mat 's Caterham was a 200 bhp kent thing and frankly 964/993 doesn't see which way it went but I think I have now converted him to the ways of Porsche!

C'mon Clubsport where's the knowledge gone ??? Resonance flaps live in the intake system, and their position controlled by Motronic as long as little wire attached to solenoid. Flaps vary length of intake, optimising air oscillation technique in relation to engine speed to obtain greater air charge into cylinder. At least this is my understanding of it.

Not same as Varioram but achieves same thing I believe.

Clever stuff as long as it's working !!
