a 944S2 as daily hack

They are mighty pretty Karmen Ghias, always had a soft spot for them after seeing one as a kid in Sheffield.
I have a few cars in the stable, those of you on Rennlist will be familiar with my stable. Mostly Jags but there is one Italian raging bull from Saint Agata and of course the 944T

A great mix so far, my motors:

BMW 320si - to pretend I'm in a touring car (very loosely!) and make the daily hack around the country interesting.

VW Polo GTi - the shopping trolley / wife and baby chariot - a real hoot to nip around town.

But the cab is by far the best of the fleet and the best car I've ever owned.....! It's great that so many people have decent 'other' cars but are still passionate about their 944's - and long may it continue.

Here here!

Jason, was it your stunning 964RS that had an unfortunate accident not so long ago that I read about on the 964RS forum? Can't imagine there are too many in that colour scheme around so I guess it must be you. How is she coming on? Last I read you were getting her fixed up. Glad to hear it if that's the case.

Currently i'm driving around one of the finest examples of British motoring history: Promax Motorsport's Rover 600 diesel courtesy car!!! I'm very grateful for it as it's keeping me moving while my car is in with them but i'm looking forward to getting the 944 back! To be fair the Rover 600's have all-round double wishbone suspension and despite it having marshmallow suspension she does hold the road quite well.

Keep it german, Keep it black and keep it quick! Unfortunately this is not a quite as practical a daily driver as I was hoping for as I'm averaging between 9-14mpg!

I addition to my 944 S2 I also have a 1969 Morris Minor Traveller- very practical, cheap, reliable (if I service it properly!), characterful and surprisingly enjoyable to drive.

I also have a Morris Minor 4-door saloon (long term project) and a Morris Minor convertible that I'm restoring for my girlfriend.

Yes, I can weld, paint and do mechanical stuff.

Hence the name Morris944s2John!
