Wheel Alignment and Geometry

As far as I am aware the system always wakes up and controls the incar environment to the last temperature set.
It actually wakes to a preset in the menu.. mines usually 23degrees and I alter it during the summer months to a bit cooler.

Ah...perhaps I'm slowly getting there. I said I was slow! So if you have checked the box and set your own preferred temperature then it will wake to whatever temp you set, even if you have subsequently adjusted the temperature manually . If neither you nor anyone else has checked the box it will wake to the last temp you set manually. But if someone else has unbeknown to you checked the box and set a temperature you don't want then every time you start up you get wrong temperature and don't know why! Maybe I need a less complicated car.

I just posted my post CG report in the other GEO thread that is running here:

http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=569287&mpage=1&key=&#569287

I hope your experience is as positive as mine. At least you will know Chris has recent C4S experience!

Best regards

Andrew

you are right. Got it set.
I know its a pain, but I am trying to set all these small things to optimise the cars comfort factors, as its there to set.

Andrew
After reading your posting, sounds like we have the same need, windy B lanes and some motorway.
I'll be staying over at B&B the previous night to see Chris and Jayne at 8.30.
The greasy spoon sounds good.

you are right.
Glad to be of service! It a pity they can't personalise something more useful though such as always starting up in the Sport and PASM mode of choice. I have to go through the press Sport then deselect the harder damper setting every time and it would be handy if that setting could be memorized.
What's with these "windy" lanes btw? Do you get a lot of gales where you live?[:D] That's another benefit of a proper geo set up - the car is less prone to wander with cross winds.

You are funny. Its a typo...should be winding lanes, and they have a fairly uneven surface as well.
Why do do prefer the harder damper off in sport mode?

The roads are just too uneven and bumpy and thus the ride is rather uncomfortable - according to the boss in the other seat![;)]

Visited Chris and Jayne (and Holly) with my C4S this morning.
As expected, all wheels were pointing in different directions. The values were still within the "green" range as prescribed by Porsche. This worries me, as the car did not handle correctly leaving the factory. I immediately noticed it.
Chris spent all morning adjusting everything. The test drive was an eye opener with 28mph around the little roundabout and the car not even close to breaking away. I also recorded this bit on video, which I shall add to my youtube account for all to see if they so wish. Link following later.
All I can say is a huge thank you to Chris for his enthusiasm and expertise in "normalising" the handling of my car for me.

Glad you enjoyed your day. Unsure about posting YouTube video of going around a public roundabout very fast though!

Glad its sorted for you..[:)]
It must be one of the cleanest cars he's worked on by the look of the photos!!

As said it may be in the green for the settings but getting it just right makes all the difference..[8D]

Maybe I wont post the video.....what a shame[:-]
I can see a few bugs on the front from the long drive up from Surrey. I do keep it very clean as the red looks really bad when dirty.
If you dont look after it yourself, nobody else is going to....right?

Hendrik

I bet that there a lot of us who could say "told you so" - CG is the best value place to invest in performance that I know of. Pleased it worked out for you as it did for me (and so many others) - I still enjoy the improvements Chris made and cannot believe how I put up with the pre-CG handling!

Richard

Well that has set the benchmark standard of cleanliness for owners of red cars.

Just looking at the Beissbarth equipment, it is neat the way the box for each corner has a little car symbol with a colour coded wheel to show which box goes where, but more to the point does anyone know whether they will fit centrelock wheels?
