The datum expects the suspension to be at a given height in addition some modles need a specific fuel load, adding weight tunes the preload.

CLCM are specialists in their field. I used them quite a while back to set up the suspension on a Caterham. Was impressed with them

As I understand, CLCM have changed hands. Last time I visited to have a BMW alignment, I didn't feel confident and declined to go ahead with the alignment. Pity as the previous guy was brilliant and very reasonable.

There is company in E-K who have a great reputation for this kind of work and there equipment is new .It is called Automek and the owner is Andy Bain and his work comes highly recommended .

That's bad news, cos Willie was the business. [:(]

When I spoke to CLCM they said it would take and hour , on speaking to the various recommendations the car has to be booked in for at least half a day. Confused!

I've had several cars done at CLCM over the years (964, Cayman) admittedly by Willie, who may have retired now. None of them took more than an hour, and I can't imagine why it would take half a day, other than that they are not organised enough to work to an hourly time slot.

Just to add to this, I was at Automek in East Kilbride this morning - the owner Andrew is a nice guy and seems to know his stuff. Price was good too - did what I wanted on the Caterham no problem. Gave me nice printouts of the before/after. A good option if you're looking for a 4-wheel laser geometry setup.
