You could go the powder coated route?

I know someone who will have some billet aluminium ones soon but we are talking ££££

Had a funny feeling price wouldn't be cheap. Just something I was thinking about for the future. Any good suppliers of repros?

Apparently it is very difficult to rechrome the original wheels as they are two piece wheels welded together.

When I was looking, no-one I spoke to wanted to do them!

I got a set of steel wheels painted silver instead and kept the chromes as spares. IMHO the painted rims look better too.
 
yep I agree. I have had so many comments about mine and they are just Hammerite silver easy to sand back and touch up...
