Where is the Early 911 Register Secretary?

Nick Moss

I have just received my copy of Porsche Post for August, and yet again there is no contribution in the register report. I also note there is some confusion in the availablility and organisation for the register parking at the Silverstone Classic this week end, surely a headline event for the register. Is it any wonder that there has been criticism of the Club's lack of attention to early cars?

and there lies the problem.

those that are qualified (with technical nowhow)to do the job and would do it well are already too busy or as you say have a conflict of interest.

i have the time but wouldn't be exceptable as i don't have the technical info............uum problem.

I'm not sure that technical expertise is a prerequisite for a Register Secretary, after all we have a Technical Adviser in Jack Phillips, and there is plenty of tech info out there on the web these days. We just need someone to make things happen and write the monthly report. Come on Helen, I will second YOU!

a valid question, also people do have lives outside the club
they do [].....knew i was missing somthing [;)][:D]

i'd be happy to do it (means i'd have to keep the sporto [:D]) or better still, work with Phil but, would i be exceptable to the directors ?

Agreed, but as a club officer and representative of the members surely even 5 minutes a day would be useful?

Oh dare . . . . I had to give it up because I didn't have the time the register deserved . . . but Phil T seems to have less time than me.

Fingers crossed he'll be at Silverstone this weekend.

Phil

Friday: 1st day of Silverstone, any sign of Phil T ?

i'm starting to get worried about him, unlike him to away from a computor for long []

i understand that Phil Taysom has had to stand down as R/S,

whos replacing him ?

Not suprprised - I converse with philip quite a bit and he has work coming out of his ears at the mo.....he never seems to be in any one country longer than a couple of days....certainly stacking up those BA points.

Helen put yourself forward - you certainly have a passion for these old cars - there is no one better to do it....IMHO

Bootsy: What about me?
Are you serious?

I wish I was, it seems a real shame to have such a pivotal post vacant. If I didn't have DDk to run I would volunteer myself straight away and do my upmost to bring about change (probably not the best candidate!)

Genuine question ... why does anybody here who haves / loves early cars have an interest in supporting PCGB ? Don't 'we' get more else where ?

I'm intersted to know what we think we could gain from PCGB , and if there is something we could all benefit from how 'we' could make it happen?

Doesn't it always seem we are just banging our heads against the wall?
