Clutch fork is hard to find atm!
Exactly what they said, in fact they are going to repair it which was going to be about £100 + VAT

The whole job became involved when after fitting the rebuilt torque tube, apparently the transmission noise/vibration was still evident. Luckily they had another box from a known car which they then had to swop over. Even more fortunate, they sold some parts out of my box, so the exchange cost of the box was only £150.
The full work included clutch kit(good idea as the one in their was 16 years old and of the 'doughnut' variety, clutch shaft and bearings, clutch fork repair, gear selector(it was this that's £100 odd not the fork repair), flywheel bolts, rear main oil seal. Whilst about it, I also had oil and filter change and new oil pressure switch to cure the flashing dash light.
Lastly, I had the KW's reset to softest as in all honesty, I'd always thought they were a bit too hard as they were for road only use. The improvement in ride is quite dramatic without compromising cornering ability(those 968 anti roll bars do seem to keep it really nice and flat through the twisty bits). Doesn't seem nearly as bad over broken surfaces now - it actually works like good suspension should rather than skipping over the surface as it felt before, no matter what tyre pressures I tried.
So all is good for a while at least and many thanks to the guys at RPM.
With the engine mounts done a couple months back, that takes this year's bills to £3k+ in 4 months, but even worse, it equates to about £8.50 per mile [
