Is this the low miles Malton 993RS????

On the button, well done ! Yes !!

This must be the first set of tyres, and you are therefore looking at the rear tyre wear of that car in the last 13+ years since it was first driven on the road.

(I assume it was driven back from the dealership ??)

Would you like to see more ?

No, I wanted to take pics of a car which as close to new as it is possible to find -- before it leaves these shores.

Mission accomplished with the kind assistance of John Hawkins.

I just used this to test a few neurons !

You wait until you see some of the pics ... [;)]

Willingly --- note the white new finishing on the rubber of the hose ---

And look at the airfilter ....

Nice to see what it was meant to look like when it's new!!

However, lovely car as it is, I'm not sure how I feel about it, kind of sad in a way. You know this car will never be driven in a way it's meant to be. Destined to be a garage queen, almost like a death sentence for the car....

Agreed, it is "just" a reference statement, but what a statement !

There are a few more pics on the 964RS forum --- and I have a few more detail pics ---

Yup 993RS on death row....forever to be caged and only let out for occasional MMmmmming and then put back[][]

It is gorgeous though. Must be the only one left like this in the world!

I hear the car is being flown to Hong Kong where the new owner will have to pay first registration tax of 120% of the original (ie new) purchase price. Ouch!

Then again maybe he'll just stick it in a dehumidified garage

This is a work of art, --- in this condition it would be a shame to use it.

The glass walled dehumidified garage ?

But doesn't it look fantastic ??

More I look at it, the better it looks!

In an ideal world, I'd have that one in a glass cage in the lounge and then another one exactly the same to use for trackdays! [:D]

Nice pics, Chris.

It's a fantastic car in 'once in a lifetime' condition, no doubt.

It's a shame, I agree, that it probably won't be used in the future.... but I'm amazed that it wasn't used in the past!! At 1 year old (or 3, or 5) how could you go out to the dehumidified garage or barn, for a look see and not take it out for a shakedown! Ultimate discipline! Must have had a lot of other distractions in his collection! That said, the owner's getting his money back, and then some, in return for his stiff resolve [;)]

On a housekeeping note, having lived in HK for a bit in the past, the new owner's going to need an industrial strength dehumidifier from about Feb to Oct! [;)]
