Any colour combination you like if you were able to choose .......

Maritime
White
Yellow
Black
Green
Mint Green
Coral
Blut Orange
Midnight Blue
etc
etc
etc

Colour? White wine white with a shade of the red mist that you see when you are the last of the late brakers....

Or a nice red light district red with champagne pearls or what about a medium b**da*e black?

Anything goes, bro!

Despite owning a Maritime car, I would go for Mint Green Des ...

But I do love Zanzibar Red --- and Metallic Coral Red, which was a 964 colour ---

Thanks for he serious replies ....... actually do want a serious quorum on this PLEASE!

Why? Colour is an entirely personal thing....what one person will love another will hate and of all the things that make up a 964RS colour is the least important of them...

Gotta be Grand Prix white and then you can do what you like with it!![:D]

Good question. Well I was desperate to get Maritme or Mint car (lucky me!), closely followed by Yellow, the white a bit further a field in 4th. (although white with black wheels - yumm!) all for a 964. Other 911s suit other colours in my view.

So an early 911 in white, or blut orange, or viper green, looks stunning for example.

A long time ago, I saw what looked like a press picture with a maritme and mint green RS parked somewhere, looked stunning, not managed to find it since.

A couple of bad boys here ...

Chris, the pic was very similar to that one actually, I had noticed that on your profile. I assume the blue car is yours, it does look simply stunning in that light. And I have to say makes the green car look a little washed out.

I bet it gave the locals some amusement too!

Out of interest, which colours are peoples least favorite? I'm not a big fan of Cobolt Blue or Black.
[:-]

Matt, that gets tricky, if you talk about fav colours, you flatter the owners of cars of that colour, if you talk about least fav, then you stand to offend!!!

Me - I just cant stand a garish, loud yellow, you know the type of cars that have red harnesses (yuk!!) [:D]

[clearly not considerding the post above]

All of that said, I always thought that Red and black on an RS didnt do the car many favours in my opinion.

Despite the view earlier in the thread, red is clearly the best colour. After 18 years of aging red with some faded to pink bits is also acceptable. Kind of half way between the full pink (rubystone?) and the red it should have been.

Never find myself looking at the car and thinking; glad its red, or wish it was blue etc. Rather, has it got enough camber, is it low enough, or has it stopped raining yet.

Thanks [;)], it was taken before my time but both cars are known to us.

Yes, the Maritime car is mine [;)] --- and I think it looks ab.fab. next to Matt's [:D]

I like the urban feel to the photo. And the shine on he car is great!

Plenty of time to think about camber and ride hieght whilst considering colour too. Whilst I dont think you should buy a car on colour, its nice to have a preference. I always wanted a red 3.2, but couldnt find one, ended up with a very dark blue, almost black, which was still great. Never worried me, but I knew I'd rather have had a red one. I like the RS colours that differentiate it from a standard 964.

The feature was January 2007 issue of Total 911. The shots were all taken under the Runcorn bridge. 2 x 964 RS CS and 2 x 993RS.
