Which tyres best suit 997 C4S?

I bought my 997 C4S 2006 with 9086 miles from the main dealer in June 2012 (now just done 14000 miles). When I collected it they had not only replaced the discs and pads and given it a full cambelt service, but replaced the tyres even though the tread was fine. They told me that as part of the Porsche approved warranty they would not sell a car with tyres over 6 years old or brakes. The compound will go hard with age and grip will reduce significantly. Your in a 180mph car so the things in contact with the road need to be perfectly safe!
I cannot remember noticing what was on before but they put on the Michellin Sports. These have done 5000 miles now including 2 gentle (ish) track days and some enjoyable spirited country lane blasts . The tyre treads are about 1mm down on new which I consider impressive.
My Porsche doesn't go out in the wet so I can't honestly say how good the tyres are in the wet but I can say the Michellins grip amazingly well. This is my first Porsche and I expect they are meant to handle like they are glued to the road and I can say with Michellins attached to the road and with 3 track days in a Porsche (my last one was in the new 991 C4S) I am very happy with my rubber :)
May I just also say, Its very hard owning these beautiful machines with such low mileage and pristine condition. You want to play everyday but feel guilty and scared to put the miles on the clock. Enjoy your car, thats what it was built for and they want to be used (as long as its dry!! )

Just to add, mine are N rated and do have a deep rim protector :)

I run Michelin Pilot Sport 2s on mine. They seem to grip well and don't give me any surprises. They wear well too, as long as the car is properly aligned.
