Which would you choose?

Wasn't the SR car the one that started at 10K?
Well maintained clearly but the sills look a little iffy. It could just be the pictures....

I've always found it's very hard to get a good pic of the sills as they are always in shadow. There is a mark on the rear of the n/s sill - could be nasty, could be nothing serious. GIven its history you would have expected any serious rot in the sills to have been attended to. I'm very partial to the colour - looks great in the sunlight - and I also rather like the interior, although many don't..

My favourite colour is white - and an early car on Fuchs looks great (although this one needs lowering a bit to look just right). Even the burgundy interior is toned down by the black dash. Porsche script on the rear looks a bit odd - & the ends that wrap round are not aligned properly. that might be a little picky on a 25 year old car...

Tricky choice.

The Silver Rose looks like a fantastically maintained example, but an early White on Fuchs is not to be sneezed at either

All things being equal I'd go for the white one, but I bet it's not in as good nick as the Silver Rose.

I'll let MarkK report back once he's owned them both for a few months :ROFLMAO:

Seriously thought about buying the silver rose for spares...!

[:-][:-]

I bet you couldn't bring yourself to pull apart a car that good - once you bought it [:D] Mind you, it's probably worth a fair amount in bits - particularly the interior which I would guess is pretty rare in that condition.

I'd choose the early turbo both for the fact that I really like the early cars plus that Silver Roe interior never fails to stun me (and not in a good way) however many times I see one. Just couldn't live with that.

I would check the history of that Silver Rose very thoroughly if I were you and see if it matches the typed description, then make up your own mind. It's certainly fairer than the original out of space am I on halucagenic drugs price.

As for the interior , plus one for me re the pink S.R type interior being awful.

Re the White one , it's not my bag mainly because it is White, which I hate even more than black.
so not a very fair appraisal from me on that one but I'd have to go with the rose and a new interior if I was actually answering your which one out of the two :p

Best of luck

Mas

the white one for me looks amazing especially on fuchs! getting harder and harder to get hold off. Both good prices as well if everythings as good as it looks

Thats a tough choice, personally I go look at the SR first then decide from there, as its been said there do seem to be patches of bubbling on the sill, but they are both very clean examples and unique in their own way

Silver Rose every time if the body is ok - I hate the 944 sunroof - My last one didnt have one.

I tried a few and it was a noisy pointless addition in my view.

PS: I hate a 944 on Fuchs as well..................................sorry [8|] Forged D90`s or Cup 1`s only for me.

Yup I could pull it apart[:D],interior is 600 quid,I got that for mine and mine was way more tired, plus it's a spare body shell, engine and gearbox, but Hopefully I won't need it touch wood. That will be a fab drivers car with that history, plus a kw suspension and level 2 promax kit, bobs your uncle.

Why not buy both & put the burgundy leather into the SR after selling the pink interior, plus youd still get a whole car of spares.

And at the more expensive end of the market, just found this

I wonder what the engine mods are? - looks like a bit more than just an "induction kit"

Very poor ad - 3 photos, one a pointless shot of the gauges, another of a slightly grubby engine bay that hints at modifications, no internal shots and only one external shot.

From the phone number it looks like the car is in Derbyshire somewhere, quite close to me.

I agree

Grubby engine bay and HT leads are orientated strangely and one assumes an induction kit is fitted

No bids on this..... but lots of questions. Poor chap sounds like he's shelled out masses. You'd think he's stick with it.

How much would a rebuild cost?
