well....
that was fun!
Twas good, wasn't it?
It's a shame there weren't more 944s there, although it was still a great turnout compared to other Registers. I know a few missed out on tickets, it always sells out quickly, and however much I promote it there are always people who leave it too late. Next year.....BOOK EARLY! [
I was happy, I got to wear my hi-viz vest and order people about. Great fun. Loads of dogs, as well, Porsche and Polo will be a similar "family-friendly" event so put it in the diary.

Still - it was worth the trip.
There were 14 944's present. I believe the 993's won the register award with 19, so we weren't that far off.

13, mine wasn't counted as I was there as a marshall. [&o]
The Register award is very well organised. It's not who gets the most cars there, but includes how many are on that Register, ease of using the cars etc. It was great to see that many 993s there, more than any other 911 variant. We were lucky enough to win it a couple of years ago, still have the award in pride of place. [
Would have liked a bit more of a challenge with the clues as noted above - but good day!
My navigator couldn't believe the club house and the fantastic organisation - was talking about an S2 on the way home!
Thaks to all involved

Congratulations Geoff and the team on a well organised event. First time we've done the Cotswold event so the directions took a little getting used to. Picnic was excellent. I think the 944 behind me and I suprised some of the newer cars going up the hill on the A44 on the way back from Gaydon, (not that we were driving quickly you understand). They may be run in but cetainly haven't run out!
Ian, That was me! It was fun beating the boxter up the hill.

Disagree about criticisms of the Rally...we're happy with simple navigation, to ensure that we actually get there (my navigator won't be reading this!!). It's perfect as it is.
If you want cryptic clues, try the Times crossword over lunch.....

However on a serious note I would like to go on a 'Treasure Hunt' and Mikes comment and yours have made me think how much I'd enjoy that. I totally appreciate that the C.Rally isn't wasnt meant to be one but I'd love to do one and wonder, is it practical has it been done much , would be an interest etc
