Who's using their car over winter?

I checked into this and apparently it is actually against the law to own a C4 and not use it during the winter...[:D]
I use mine every day for the commute into Bristol (groan) I have no garage. I have no alternative transport. It feels just that little bit risky at times but that is all part of the fun!

Bought my 91c2 in november06 and have been using it ever since. maybe i'm not driving too near the limit (still building confidence!), but have found no problem with driveability, traction, etc. I was lucky to get a spare pair of wheels with winter tyres as part of the deal, but haven't felt the need to change yet - maybe if it freezes?

Been running 964 now for 4 years, including winters. It get's a bit cold here in Luxembourg, so the winter tyres go on in October/November & come off again in March/April. Currently running thin spoke cup 16s (mainly seen on 968s, but some 964s) with Goodyear GW3 tyres.....more grip in all winter conditions, even on my current C2.
They were dynamite on my old C4.....I miss that car !!
Worth buying a set on EvilBAY, though I'd go for 17s.
Type in Porsche Winter on WWW.EBAY.DE & you'll be able to pick up a good set for about 400-500euros.
Remember to check with the seller that he'll send them to the UK and check the cost. Failing that, I can be brided to bring them over to London, with the offer of a few bottles of Vino !!
Drove the 2.4e Targa into work today, with summer tyres.....a little wiggley, on the cold greasy road.
Nice sunshine though !
Rgds,
Jon
