Will these BBS wheels fit ?

We'll just have to disagree then. I say they will rub on the arch, especially at the passenger side around the 10 o'clock position. An 8J wheel with ET47 or whatever the stock 16 inchers on an S2 are does not have 36mm of clearance to the arch which is what you need to fit an 8J ET11 rim in its place.

I disagree that they wont physically fit.  Early offset wheels fit on later wide-track cars, with room to spare at the rear.

I agree, on the rear axle I run 15 mm spacers, ISTR 52 mm offset 16" wheels (cup 1's from a 968) and 245 wide tyres. They do not rub and the arches have not been rolled. This means I could fit wheels with a 37 mm offset and get the same result, I reckon with 225 wide tyres one could probably go as low as 25 mm offset before getting any rubbing.

I wouldn't do this though as it will dramatically alter the handling making such a large change to the track widths. I run 15 mm rear spacers and 6 mm front spacers to get in effect the same relative track widths to the 968 on M030 (i.e. like the original cup wheels with the massive front offset) since I already have 968 wishbones as well..

Just noticed from Fens post and checked the offsets on those wheels, 11 mm offset, no chance, no way. On my car I am very very close to rubbing. Like I said 25 mm offset and 225 wide tyres might work but with those wheels a good 1/2"+ to much sticking out to work.

I will concede that I have only ever tried OEM 7" wheels (which had more than 15mm clearance) and aftermarket 8" wheels. The 8"ers also had adequate clearance, but I can not now be certain of their offset, as this was over 15 years ago.....
