Wolds Tulip Rally - 17th May

ORIGINAL: Ian Gilmour

I know it seems a long way off right now but here's a quick note about our tulip rally in the Yorkshire Wolds on Sunday 17th May so that you can put it in your diaries.

This was a very successful event last year and Andrew Warner and Steve Walker have agreed to organise it again with a different route but based around the same start and finish points. The route will be meticulously planned with detailed tulip maps provided for each car and will start from The Triton in Brantingham a few miles west of Hull where we will meet for coffee (free) and bacon sandwiches (not free!) and will be stopping en route at Burton Agnes Hall for refreshments. The finish will be in the market square at Malton, with the option of having a meal at The Market Place restaurant, owned by one of our Region's supporters, John Hawkins of Specialist Cars of Malton.

This year we will be limiting the number of entries to 35 and will be inviting neighbouring Regions to join us. There will be a charge of £10 per car which will include a free coffee at The Triton, rally plate, goody bag, a high quality route map, free parking at Burton Agnes Hall and prizes for the winners, making the event excellent value for money.

Look out for more details on the Forum and in Porsche Post in the next few weeks.

now this sounds like fun. can Larry and i join in. we'll be in a 356c [8D]

Thanks for the information on how the Tulip Rally works. Please note that my navigator will now be my brother Martin Ellison. My wife Jackie has decided that not to navigate unless the Road Book can be bound with the maps etc upside down!!
