Watch Porsche's LMP1 team start their 2017 World Endurance Championship campaign with Porsche Club GB at Silverstone on 14th, 15th and 16th of April. The Porsche Club Race Centre will be in attendance offering hospitality for members and infield parking will also be available.
The £40 ticket package includes two weekend tickets (Friday-Sunday) with infield parking passes for Club members as part of the package. Children 15 and under have free entry but do require a physical ticket so please email events@porscheclubgb.com to request the relevant pass.
The 2 for 1 £40 offer is valid until 30 January 2016.
Anyone interested from R3 please add to this thread and we can discuss convoy, hotel or further travel arrangements.

Me too as so far I've been to each years excellent racing rounds

2014 - Very cold
2015 - Externally Wet and odd rain
2016 - Lovely sunny weather for the time of year.
2017 - ?

Is there a link where we need to go to book the 2 for 1 offer or do we contact the events person at the Clubs office to duly book.

Missed the hail/snow on the Friday in 2016 ...... Sunday was brilliant as Porsche won after 'Plank-gate'

Hi Kevin click here
This will take you to the correct booking page. Hope to see you there, if not before at a club night possibly.
Regards Greg.

Welcome to our humble area of the forum, Nick.[:)]

Hi Greg

Thanks for the link & I'll be booking my tickets sometime next week and the deal is excellent
and it a pity you don't get the Pit Pass thats on offer via the Silverstone Track web page for the
first 2000 + people who book the Weekend or Sunday option but as Porsche Club member I feel
we are getting the better option of 2 tickets for the price of one £40.

Also Greg I hope to see you there too but as I'm from the Norfolk & Suffolk region its highly unlikely
I'll come along to your regions club evening but if I'm in the area on said evening yes I'll happily call by.

Yours sincerely Kevin.

:p

Have duly booked up my Tickets for Silverstone and I cannot wait till April 2017 comes around and
the start of a new season for Porsche without Audi breathing down on them to win the WEC for the
third year in a row for the Porsche Team of 919's & Porsche Drivers too.

:p

Looking at hotels around Silverstone today any others interested in going to this event? Don't forget it's Good Friday- Easter Monday so no need to take time off work(hopefully) Looking at going down Friday morning, returning either Sunday evening or why not stay that extra night and chill and drive back Monday.
So far we have,
Greg & Deb
Dave & Amy
Darren & Julie
Matthew
Simon.

I should be able to make Sunday, as I seem to have double booked myself again for the other days.

Great deal on hotel on Expedia at De Vere Horwood
Mursley Road, Milton Keynes, England, MK17 0PH
Little Horwood. A few of us going Friday to Monday and making a long weekend £287 per couple Inc Breakfast. Ref superior double or £227 standard with breakfast.

I'm a new member and will be there with my son. Looking forward to meeting some fellow PCGB members on either the Saturday or Sunday. Fingers crossed for sunshine but bag packed for anything!
Regards,
Peter

Welcome to the forum Peter, are you R3 North East? Regardless if you are about, ask any of the PCGB club house team they will point us out, always great to have a catch up with any members when away.

Thanks Greg. I missed the R3 bit from your original post and am actually in R29 (note to self - read posts more carefully??) but nevertheless look forward to meeting you and other members at the event.

We are going, tickets bought and hotel booked, can't wait[:)].

Tickets and hotel booked, really looking forward to it. Porsche Silverstone hospitality on the Friday last year was excellent, hope we don't need to shelter from the snow this time!

This will be our fifth year for me & my son, second time with the Porsche Club so tickets bought & infield parking pass received.
Fortunately my son only lives about 45 minutes away so am going down on Friday afternoon with my brother-in-law who is coming with us this year.
Just hope the weather is better this year as our first visit was the last time they ran in September which was glorious.
Since its moved to April its always been wet or windy or cold or all three !!!

Got my tickets, but sadly no infield passes so far as I only wanted tickets for Sunday, so booked direct through Silverstone.
