Xenon replacement bulbs

I agree with Maurice on that

Plus how can they be 100% brighter while still being 55watt bulbs, they can probably be little bit brighter than a normal 55watt bulb by the manufacturer making them a bit more efficient but that's it.

Surely you can't make a 55watt incandescent bulb put out 110 watts of light, without it becoming a 110 watt bulb and drawing the associated current, or am i missing something?
