Sorry I couldn't make it this time, glad the weather held for you (at least on Sat anyway). Did you take a similar route to last time, how was the moving obstacles, sorry other traffic on route ? [;)] Ian

Ian, you were mentioned and missed...[:)] No post office vans this time, so traffic was fine [;)] and the roads makes it easy to move past them... The old Skipton road was an excellent finish to the day [8D] Hopefully we'll revisit with some notice and have a few more to join the party.. It was lucky Doug came out!! otherwise 997s would have been outnumbered!! [:)] garyw

Have just been looking at this thread and found you had been from Pately Bridge to Grassington. If you reverse that route and then continue through Pately Bridge and take the Ripon road, you will find another fantastic drive. There is only one word to describe it ...WOW!! If anything it is an even better road. If we do the coast to coast runs i.e. Whitby fish & chips or Specialist Cars Big Breakfast we always go that way. We have never used an A road to go to Yorkshire, unless someone else is leading the way, and that in itself is unusual if Mac is in the convoy. Sue

Hi All Very big thankyou to Gary and Jo for a fantastic weekend,Also nice to meet other people from the club. Looking forward to the next meet Great time,Thankyou again Regards Paul & Tanya

Glad to hear your back safe and sound Paul.. how were the witches??? Sue, rest assured- we went along that road too[;)] I came across from Whitby the day prior and as you say, didn't use any major roads and had a superb time.. as my Shell points will show [&:] garyw

Hmm we found the shop,Then Tanya decided "in the rain" to look for one of the nutter family in the graveyard to no evail,I did however find one nutter wondering around in the pouring rain looking at stones, bless her. Thanks once again to Gary,Jo,Jayne,Peter,Doug and dave for the saturday drive and all at R18 FOR THE SUNDAY Paul

Tanya has just informed me that she wants to go back just to see the stone Long way to go for that, still go for a repeat drive of the roads.

Tanya says thankyou she found it very interesting, she still wants to go back. When I don't know but we will inform you,So we can get our broomsticks out again. Paul

Make it soon, the dark nights and rainy days are nearer than you think ! .......................oh dear, I've just depressed meself there !? []

Down here the nights are dark all the year round and it rains often too![;)] I suspect the Lake District may be similar....[:(] Sounds like a possible plan though Gary - early September?

I was hoping for the Champagne trip in September, so will look at dates... End of August will be the Cheddar and Castle Combe Mid September is a possible MIRA open day event and drive... [&:] garyw

Just missed you guys by a day unfortunately, stayed at this quiet place for a night not far from Pickering - the owner is right into his cars and has previously owned various 911's.
