Region 7 along with main sponsors Strasse of Leeds in conjunction with Specialist Cars of Malton would like to invite you to join them to celebrate everything Porsche at this year’s Yorkshire Porsche Festival.

On Sunday, 5th August Lotherton Hall will once again ring to the sounds of 100s of Porsche engines. Come along and enjoy the displays, concours, trade village including Club shop and Club House on the road, live music, Strasse BBQ and bar or simply just the car park; all in support of the Child Brain Injury Trust.

Strasse have arranged for a Six lane Scalextric set to be onsite in support of the Child Brain Injury Trust which promises to be great fun.

On the off chance you come with a non-Porsche fanatic, there is still plenty to do, with the bird garden, gardens, country walks, deer park, playground and the hall itself.

The event is open to members and non-members alike so pass on the information to you non member friends.

Advanced tickets can be purchased form the Club's online shop at £6 per car. Entry on the day will be at Lotherton's standard prices of £7.50 per adult and £3.75 per child, making out tickets amazing value for money.

If you would like to enter the concours competition either as an R7 member of from a guest Region then you can download the entry form from here.

This thread will be updated as more information becomes available, or for any questions you may have.

A couple of updates.

1. This year we are supporting the Child Brain Injury Trust.
2. The concours entry is open, the form is linked above in the first post.
3. Strasse will have a six lane Scalextric set which should be good fun.

Hi Mark,
Im interested in showing my Millennium edition this year at Lotherton Hall, I was wondering if the 40th anniversary guys were showing cars in a group again, if so maybe i could tag on with them as i doubt there will be another Millennium. I did have one of the anniversary guys details from last year but seem to have lost it.

Cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,

The 40th guys are coming again, but not sure if it will be a group display again.

We have some space to showcase some cars so if would be of interest to you, drop me an email.

Hi Mark,

I’ve ordered tickets too and would be happy to help with car parking or whatever front end of the day, as Ellie will follow on with our boys.

Let me know if I’m needed?

Mike

Not sure where the ticket numbering started but mine arrived Thurday [24th July] and is 884
This could bode well [or make it totally manic] !
Peter

Mine arrived this week, Ellie
has just told me!
Looking forward my 1st Festival.

Mark - please don’t forget if you need help at the front end of the day, or car parking etc??

Mike

Home, feeling exhausted.

Thank you to everyone who helped today, parking 850 cars, holding the fort whilst we directed traffic, judging the concours and most of all hanging around to help pack the Club up so we all got home at a decent time.

Chris, Maxine and Rhiannon from the Club House did an amazing job manning membership and the shop. Safe journey back to the Cotswolds.

Well done to everyone who helped raise £5000 for the child brain injury trust, including the £1000 each that Dave Forrest and John Hawkins put in. Both Strasse and Specialist Cars did us proud.

Finally thank you to everyone for bringing their amazing cars and braving the traffic jam.

Well done to you too Mark et al for organising the event.

What a scorching day too, think my nose and forehead caught the brunt of the sun.

To prove how good a day a day it was a number of my ‘non Porsche‘ owning friends turned up and had a great day. Also in conversation with other friends we all commented how friendly the club is overall too.

You deserve a good rest Mark - well done mate.

It was a great day, even my dad (who isnt a fan of porsche) enjoyed it.Couldnt believe the amount of cars, some crackers.Wife in her boxster and my brother in his 964,and me tootling along in my exige s2 ,I had to park round the back...cheek of it ;-).well done to everyone involved

Well done Mark, Carol and your team.

Absolutely brilliant day, thoroughly enjoyed it. A really great event, many thanks indeed.

Thanks to all involved. This event just keeps on growing, we are going to need a bigger field.

Hi Mark, Carol & team,
Many thanks for organising another belter of a day, so many cars I never got to see them all! Just thanks again for all your hard work?? Ps next year can we have more loos!

Only one word for it, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
This event just keeps growing and getting better and better with fantastic support from Strasse & Specialist Cars of Malton.
Well done Mark & Carol and of course all of the hardworking R7 team not least our very own Club House on the road dream team who all worked tirelessly throughout the day so we all could just rock up and have a great day in the sun.

Deb & I have attended the Yorkshire Festival of Porsche year on year and have seen it grow massively over the past ten years, yet somehow it still manages to keep a tight knit friendly atmosphere that is inclusive and makes you proud to be part of despite being from a neighboring Region. All day I found myself constantly bumping into literally hundreds of friends from far and wide not just R7 that obviously feel the same way due to their shared passion for Porsche cars and this fantastic Club.

I am unsure what the final count was but what a sight to see with literally hundreds of cars on the show field of all models it made me feel like a kid in a candy shop.

A really BIG thanks to Mark and Carol for a fantastic day and all their work both on the day and prior to the event.
The P.C team did a great job too, they were exhausted by the time they were setting off home, I didn't envy them their two and a half hour plus drive back
A pity Lotherton didn't get their act together with the Porta-loos though, wellies were even need down at toilets the cafe too as they were in a terrible state by early afternoon!
Peter
p.s I 'blame' you Mark for the massive number of cars attending- you post about possible ticket sales '884 sold would scare the living daylights out of me!!!!' was really tempting providence [8D]

The porta loos on the field were down to us, we WILL get more next time.

The state of them at the end was not pleasant! That wasn’t us [8|]

I think we have crossed a threshold with this event so more careful planning is required to cope with the numbers, we don’t want to put anyone off.

If if we could book the same weather that would be nice. It’s so much nice to put and taken down dry.
