16k Mile S2!

Well as I said it isn't top of my list even if money was no object, but it's on the list. It probably would be just to have an example of the most powerful production car ever built but more than that I'd actually want one.

I had an itch for 500+bhp and when I scratched it the result was a bit ho-hum. Maybe I need to scratch the 1,000bhp itch. No way can I do it with a Veyron of course, and one of the Supra dyno queens wouldn't work either. I think it needs to have 8 cylinders and a blower through the hood; there are some around over here.

Years ago at work I was asked an interesting question. I was going to ask it here, but I think I'll start a thread as it might be interesting and get more response if the subject is relevant to the content (for novelty value, perhaps [:D])

Yeah, I think that happened to me once as well.

Not sure it was at work tho'.

Do post us a link to the thread ... I'll see if it is the same question as the one I was asked.

Oli.

What about the 928 GTS on 25K miles which he's asking £30K for?!!! Would someone really pay that?

I'm going to call in next Thursday when I'm in Edinburgh and see whether he talks me into selling the 968CS. [:D]

It looks like a nice car - the interior looks superb, but I can think of many other cars I'd rather buy for that money.

Is it me, or is there a mismatch in the paint colour between the doors and the rear of the car on the 3rd and 4th photos?

At a guess the 928 is on sale or return and the owner is dreaming.

I can't imagine why anyone would put £30k into a 14 year old example of Porsche's most misguided model ever (in green!) when that would be enough to buy some seriously nice machinery just now.

My thoughts precisely.

Statistically the Veyron is the big mutha. If you were in the Mclaren F1 & drive flat out, when you hit 120mph I set off in the Veyron & I would still beat you to 200mph. It would certainly be in my dream garage if only to marvel at its technical excellence. Back on topic the dealer with the S2 also has a 928 Gts in stock for sale at £30k!!
