Hi All
I have a Gen 1 Cayman S 2006 42,000 miles. Owned it for 8 years.
If I leave the car in the garage untouched for a couple of days when you turn the ignition key to start it it just goes click. Lights don't dim, no warning message is displayed.
Several attempts usually starts the car as normal. Once started all is well until the next time it is left for a day or so. Never does when i'm out.
I have ruled out the foot switch as no message to depress clutch is displayed.
Could it be a poor earth if so where? My local indie thinks it is starter motor solenoid. Once started the heat from the engine helps the solenoid they reckon but i'm not convinced.
Any other ideas would be appreciated
