25th Anniversary Boxster

Hello Everyone

I take delivery of my 25th Anniversary hopefully by the end of this month. Are there any more 25 owners on the forum, might be helpful to keep in touch going forward. I've been away for the Porsche brand for a good few year, my previous models being 2No 924's and 2No 911's the last one being in the early 1990's.

Not sure if anyone has ordered one of these from OPC Preston, but my salesman told me that its arrived and looks stunning.

I initially did order a 25 from Preston but then cancelled when I saw the press release images.

The sales manager seamed exceptionally happy I did cancel as he said there was interest from another customer. That being the case I would have thought it is sold.

I wasn't sure on order whether I could live with the gold bits on the front or the side vents but in reality it looks good and drives superbly.

Just beautiful😍😍

Hi All. I became a first time (long awaited) Porsche owner when I picked up my new 25 in early November. Since then, joined the club with this being my first post. I hope to meet some of you at forthcoming events.

i apologise if you have seen this. In case others have had the issue. I had to return my 25 to the OPC as the tracker and the car connect app, operated via Vodafone did not work. The traker required a hard reset requiring an over night stay. Collected car Thursday and all is working so far.

Also did any 25 owners get the Silverstone driving experience included or is that just exclusive to GT cars.

Yes the tracker is a Known Fault on Porsche’s side not Vodafone’s. Year 21 boxsters and Mecans.

It is related to the swap from a 3G operating system to a 4G system.

Mine has been reset twice and finally it went in for a Vodafone 3G system fitting until Porsche sort out the system and do a recall of the cars. The annoying thing is the time it currently takes to get a slot in the service bay. WARNING please check your insurance T&C’s as due to the value of the cars many insurances require the tracker working and cover is void if it‘s not.

Yes all new Porsche cars have an invite to the silverstone Experience. Well worth the trip, I used their car and enjoyed the day.

My Spyder needed a reset. Other 718s the unit is under the seat. Not the Spyder. The OPC needs it a week and full dashboard out!

its under the dash on the GTS 4.0 as well. The first two times was 3/4 days and then the last time they had it 8 days.
