26th May Porsches and Planes at Kemble

I would like to congratuate Derek for a first class event.
The organisation will have been a challenge and to get an airobatic disply by a Spitfire (not the one built by Triumph[:D]) was a feather in his cap.

I was personally delighted by the generousity of members making donations to the upkeep of the Bristol Britannia. The volunteers who opened it up for us hoped for £50 we made £120 for the fund..... Sometimes I am proud to be associated wilth PCGB, this was one of those ocaisions.

And we made a bob or two for Fly to Help, a charity that raises money to pay for disabled children to fly.

Brilliant day Derek, Sue,Roger, Geoff and the team for the formation fly and visit to Britannia. i have a pic of G-CIRI's undercarriage from below at, what, 2000 feet! And Britannia was a revelation - the first fly by wire British aircraft? A good pic of my garden as we banked over Kemble, with lunch on the go. Not an ordinary Sunday by any means. And not the last I hope!

Thanks again for all the effort and generous flying time.

Best wishes

Richard

My pleasure. Pity we did not get more aeroplanes there, but we still flew everyone who committed themselves with a deposit. Will be a write up in PP.

Yes, belated thanks to Derek and everyone else who made this such an enjoyable and relaxed day.
