Just giving you chaps a heads up on this day..

#### 8th June at Donnington Park #### Its a SUNDAY...####

Its a PCGB organised track day.
There is going to be a fairly large gathering of 968,s on track [among other Porsche,s], so if any you Turbo + S2 boys want to come + play,, better get yourselves booked on.....
OR if you dont want to put your pride + joy on the tarmac, then im sure "fast" lap rides will be available. If you ask politely....
Hope to see ya there...

Thanks Dave, I'd already been watching this one and saw there was a lot of you guys going.

Should be a good day, it was my favourite trackday from last year [:)]

Do you have to be a PCGB member to a) attend and b) get on track?

No, anyone can spectate and passenger wristbands are normally a tenner

Non-members pay ÂŁ50 extra to get on track (so might as well join up because the membership is ÂŁ51 plus a ÂŁ10 joining fee)

Great, mine's not quite ready for it's track debut yet anyway. Would love a passenger ride in yours Paul - if it'll be there? Big Dave, have you any info on times?

If it is it won't be on track - my piggy bank will be empty for a while [8|] Should have been MOT'd last week though [:D]

The car to get a ride in will be Paul F's Orange 968 racecar of Britcar 24 HR fame [8D] You'll notice me in the queue for that one [;)]

Ben.
The usual "signing on" for drivers will poss be around 8-8.30am. + track time usually starts around 9 ish. then its generally all day till lunch [1hr off],,,, Then all afternoon till 5pm....[:D][:D][:D][:D]
Paul.
The "Follet" car isnt particularly comfortable for passengers, as its a proper racer...Oh and yes it is quick....+ VERY focussed....[:D][:D][:D][:D]

I believe there are over 10 968s booked in now including a genuine Turbo and a Supercharged beastie - should be an excellent day [8D]

I believe the turbo car is hearsay + might OR might not arrive....Ive heard all the stories b4 about the 968 turbo car.. As far as im aware theres only 1 original car in the UK....
BUT if it does show up, itl be good to see it....

I'm so so tempted by this one, but as I will be loading my turbo onto the 8am Portsmouth ferry on the subsequent Thursday, I am nervous about tempting fate and/or running out of talent half way round a lap...[8|][:D]

May yet go just to spectate and meet up with everyone again[:)]

Nick, you know a shake down before Le Mans makes sense[;)][;)][;)] As for running out of talent, just make sure
you do that before you run out of road and you will be fine.

Not sure about any S/C cars being on track, the one I know of going is also on route to Le Mans so will be there
in a support role.

HI All,

I have just booked for this day - there are still a few places left according to Paul Grainger at PCGB.

Regards,
Andrew

So will there be designated Porsche parking? Just so that the likes a me can drool for hours without having to walk for hours!

I shall be loading mine on the Weds after Dono on the night ferry for LeMans then over the Alps to Italy.

Therefore I shall be driving carefully and considerately in view of the age of my vehicle - and it's driver, birthday Friday - so this time I will not be asking you all to jump out the way as you usually have to.

[;)][;)][;)][:D][:D][:D][:D][&:][&:][&:][:)][:)][:)][:)][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Sorry, even I can't believe that.

Actually Nick, I find my car runs a lot better after a day at the track and as long as you keep it off the kerbs and out of the gravel you'll be fine.

I have got a complete set of new hoses coming though as it's the only bit of preventative maintenance I've not covered.

Cheers
Dave

Hmm, I just feel sorry for all of the tiny furry woodland creatures that will be hoovered up as your car comes on boost and inhales anything not bolted to the ground nearby....[8|][:D][:D]

Hey girls.
Just bringing this back into view.
This Sunday..
Any more coming for a tyre kick. OR actually getting there machines on track.?????

One final question, do you need a helmut for a passenger ride?

Yes! Good idea to take your own if you've got one. Otherwise you will be able to borrow one off the sweaty bloke with headlice at the back of the pits.....[:'(]
