944 Mileage Poll 2009

Hi peanut,

Nice to see a line up of S2's mine's a 1991 S2 cab just turned 75k ( not sure if genuine 74k on purchase?) so 1k in the 4 months I've owned it!
Last few years I've usually had a cottage week holiday down near you (Sparkford April 09) usually Bettiscombe, if we come down this spring I'll seek you out - I think an S2 in Dove Blue looks great!

regards

Tony W.

Hi Tony
you're welcome to visit .I'm at Merriott ,about 15 miles from Sparkford . If you're visiting the Haynes museum we could meet up there. I've been meaning to re-visit for years.
My S2 had a rear end shunt last week and should have received her new bumper in a couple of weeks. The little Toyota that ran into me didn't have a scratch on it ! I'd better smarten her up for your visit lol[;)]

My old & much loved S2 had 191K when I sold her after nearly 12 years and over 130K miles travelled by me.

I did direct the new owner to this forum, but I never saw any evidence that he posted. He was using it as a daily driver so probably over 200K by now. I'm sure its still going strong, it still pulled like a train when I had it.

964 C2 is MUCH faster though [:D]

Hi Nick , About 130K of my ( now 201k ) Cab are my miles.Only let me down once and that was a clutch at 112k.I'm not a million miles away from you in Tintinhull!!

Hi Toby
I have had 3x 944 in the past 14 years I can't believe we have never seen each other ? I don't recall ever seeing a Cab locally .
Guess i'll have to start driving with my eyes open occasionally [:D]

222568 on the clock but im told there was a "replacement" engine with 70/75k on it. But since there's no proof im sticking to 222568 [:D]

101000,1990 s2 worthless old banger, as I rebuilt it myself I was told by a club member it was a worthless old banger, should I aim for 25000 trouble free miles or just scrap it now?,all the best John.

1990 S2 at 146K. Just acquired it a couple of weeks ago. It's in great condition and seems to run very well. Touch wood [8|]

Guards Red 944S2 in Australia , 83700 miles , only had it three weeks , being given the big
service to all belts , pulleys , engine mounts , hoses etc. after previous owner did nothing in 11 years .
I am 3rd owner from new , ist owner full service all through to 73000 miles , has been unregistered for
last five years.
This forum seems to be full of very pleasant owners.

Bryan Miller.

My S2 1991 coupe has just done 150,000 miles.

If the result was c. 150k last time it appears that different people are replying now or that everyone has clocked their cars becasue that average mileage has come down.
