Andy, if you were to sell, what sort of price might you ask (PM)? I prefer Sport Classics but they dont seem to be available anything like as ofter as they were a few years ago... These are my second preferred choice, but only, I think, because theyre 18" only.
Simon
Hi Simon,
I was thinking around ÂŁ600 inc tyres and coloured Center's, but I may need my arm twisting as I just know what to do! I could then use the money towards my new suspension or brakes
I much prefer the look of the sport design's but the 16's give so much better ride on our lovely roads! I just don't like the D90's that much, the car as Lin say's always looked different before and ow looks like any other 44
I am happy for you to comment on price if you think that's too dear for what they are?

The cup 1 looks much better than I expected.
Colouring the wheel in gun metal is a good idea. I think black wheels on my car may not work.
My personal favourite (for the moment at least) is the split rim option. Perhaps I may have to wait until I can find 17" split rims as a compromise??
Other than eBay and Pistonheads, where else should one look to search for wheels?

Mine had Cup 1's - the nicest wheels ever made in my view.

I agree and had always planned to get some Cup 1's for when I had a turbo. However, I'm really struggling to let go of the original teledials [8D]

I prefer your 18" Sport Design wheels - if I had a Turbo, I'd by them in a flash.

Here's something a bit different ,boxster s wheels ,they don't exactly go with the 944 lines but i like them and they are also lighter than all of the above including the 16's.

I agree Catalin - quite similar to mine. I chose these because I wanted 17" rims for tyre choice, lightweight and 8J all round

As Fuchs and Early turbo teledials are out for a late turbo, I think the best OE look is the Cups (1 or 2), but the best drive will be on a set of 16" clubsports. If you can find some split rims with a deep dish (see below) then there are some other options.
18's are too big - they don't look right to me.
What's really important, and hasn't been mentioned yet, is to get the car sitting nice & low so there's very little gap to the wheel arch. That's what makes the car look really good.
my last car had a couple of different sets
17" Speedline split rims - looked great but very heavy

16" Club Sports

My S2 came on these
17" Eta Beta Split rims

I also tried these
16" Cups - very light but probably not enough tyre for a turbo. Transformed the drive though.
