*Update on arrangements for the day*
The day we have is Saturday 31st October, 2009 and it is fully booked with the maximum of 20 cars. These are the first 20 that signed on the Doodle list. There has been one cancellation that has been passed to the next on the list. If I haven't contacted you to ask you to send your payment, unfortunately that means you didn't get a place on track. However, even if you didn't make the track list it will still be a great day out with fellow 964 owners. There should be plenty of opportunities to get free passenger rides.
The format of the day is expected to be.
11 am: Arrive at the circuit and track drivers sign on.
11.30 am: Briefing about the day including safety aspects and an introduction to our resident instructor for the day, Tim Arnold.
12.00 pm: Track driving begins so form an orderly queue and take advantage of free instruction from Tim if you like.
4.30 pm (ish): Track driving ends.
Helmets are not required although they are optional and, perhaps, recommended. We also recommend that you take time to remove loose objects from the car before going on track. You won't use a lot of petrol on the day but we recommend you arrive with at least half a tank.
We are still hoping that the tea and coffee cabin (on site) will be open for refreshments (but bring some butties just in case).
Curborough is situated 20 miles North of Birmingham off the A38 trunk road between Burton-on-Trent and Lichfield in Staffordshire. The venue is Brown Signed once you are off the A38, and also the A515 from the West. When turning off the A38 look for a sign labelled Hillard's Cross and then look for the brown signs. Their web site is available at http://www.curborough.co.uk.
Those that have been unlucky not to make it on the track might be interested in another day that is being run by 911UK the weekend before ours (all Porsches welcome):
