Martin, Fantastic

I have registered as Not Sure ---well, I wasn't sure what you were asking for, and now it doesn't want to accept my password when I try to contact you.

All teething problems or "just me" !

Fab.

great job photo number 6 is mine at the ring last year...have it for sale ...making me want to keep it after looking at all those lovely rs

Now I must go take a look ... !

I'm not looking for another (as Leonard Cohen said) but it's great to see what others have done !

Very professionally done with great presentation and graphics.

Good to see I've got full marks!

Cheers Martin.

Martin,
Looks good - some really nice photo's.
Have sent you a separate mail about a couple of things (me being picky!).

Tony

Nice one Martin, just tried a little tour obviously in it's infancy, very colourful, keep it up ......

Great site Martin, I'll dig out a photo to send to the gallery.

May I make a request. It would be interesting if we could click on individual cars in the database to see a pop-up photograph of the car (with reg numbers blocked out just as you have done with all the other images). Is it possible to do?

Cheers,
Rich

Thanks all for the comments. It has taken a while to set up but i'm very happy with it. Hopefully in the future more owners far and wide will want to register.

Chris, i don't know why it won't allow you to contact me. There is no password facility that i know of. (I did wake up this morning to find 15 emails in my inbox though!)

Rich, that is something i had thought of and may be a future addition.

Keep the emails coming!

Regards
Martin

Martin, it could be my email browser being tricky --- aol.

I was mailing you to say that tere was a portfolio of original RS reviews recently sold through the PCGB site.

I wonder if we could obtain these to scan them up to the site ?

There is also some very good information linked to Paul McLean's GT Classic site which I have found very useful. Nice of Paul to provide it --- and I wonder if you might also link to it ?

Maybe also a link to the various specialist dealer sites.

This could become a labour of love.

It could also be utterly fantastic .... Porsche should pay you to do it ! (Did I actually say that ?)

Kindel doesn't know the 964 option codes.

Could the database ?

003 ? 234 ? 388 ? 389 ? 13801 ??

Chris.

Chris - off topic perhaps [:D] but

003 = Group N GT1 = 911 CARRERA RS CLUBSPORT

388 = RACING SEAT LEFT

389 = PORSCHE CAR STEREO, CR STEREO, TYPE US = Stereo radio cassette player with manually operated aerial?

So the "racing team" that ordered my Clubbie put in a radio ?

That would explain the antenna scar in the rear of the roof --- but it wasn't for telemetry after all !

Since it was in private ownership in the UK from 1995 and at 25,000 Kms, maybe it never was with a race team ?

Paul, where did you find the info ? Tnx,Chris.

P.S. How useful would this be on the database ?

Chris - fascinating stuff when you piece the history together.

This is one of the most comprehensive option code tables I have found:

http://homepage3.nifty.com/944/optioncode.html

The Japanese are well into Porsche and even though they drive on the left in Japan - the cognoscenti have to have a LHD drive car as they are more exotic! I agree 100%! [:D]

Brilliant --- it's so comprehensive that even if a code isn't there, you can see from the category what it probably is --- eg 697 with 441 ---

Chris, if a copy of those RS reviews could be made available, that would definitely be something that i would include as a PDF file. (Can you find out more?) Also, i have been contacted by a couple of dealers who have shown an interest in the site. Obviously, being in it's early days, i am going to take my time and consider carefully who and when or even if i decide to take them up on their offers.

At the moment my main concern is collecting new cars and details and more importantly getting used to updating the site without the help of the designer. (Who, by the way, is a genius!)

Paul, that is a great Option code site - well discovered! Even though it doesn't include the Option code on my car, which is M740 - Exhibition Car.

I'll have a hunt.

They were sold through the members ads on this Forum --- probably around 10 months ago ?

Chris.

Martin,
bit nervous if this all goes commercial, not sure I want dealers to have access to any of my details, but what would be nice would be to link it up with the register and to keep the info in the clubs archive.

Happy to supply you with a list of articles/reviews to put up putting up actual copies might rais copyright issues.

Tony

Tony, i think i have been misunderstood. I was referring to dealers who wish to advertise on the site. There is no way i would release any information to dealers or otherwise. Just to put that straight.

Regards
Martin
