997 has 9e28 Tuning Kit with 680-730PS since 2014. Owned from new since 2007. She's off to Central Operations restoration team for a colour change to PTS (TBC). Nine Excellence (9e) in Horley added the OEM GT2 aerokit. They also fitted slotted discs with Brembo 380mm GT Big Brake Kit repainted Gold. Also Tractive Touring Line suspension fitted by 9e and various other things like GT2 engine mounts and new gearbox mounts all round, RSS rear toe links, GT2 brake cooling ducts the full works really for chassis refresh. She goes well.

Wow that‘s amazing, I didn’t realise it was going to be that amount of parts

thanks, looking forward to seeing the finished pics

All this work via Nine Excellence. They've even liaised with Porsche special projects team at OPC Reading HQ via Porsche AG handling all paperwork in relation to colour change etc (even needed permission for colour change). Very professional all round unlike my previous experience painting her (twice) at https://autobodytechnic.com. Never go there Porsche people poor standards and even worse company values. One to avoid in my experience i could literally see every spec of paint dust and sill repair by Noddy or Baldric. Badly let down by Bob who owns autobody technic hence the project grew arms and legs.

Alls well that ends well though no biggy I'm delighted to do something like this on my dd money no object.

For the GT2 aero fair amount of work needs to be done behind the front and rear PU too. The centre rad is upside down in the GT2 and on rear pu all ducting from intercoolers needed changing. Thanks for all the positive comments.

Few more pics received from the guys Porsche Central Operations, Reading. That NS rear QP was done via OPC Hatfield! Still under warranty!!

I am not a fan of certain OPCs but if they get it wrong lifetime guarantee on a Porsche Approved repair. Well worth it in my awful experience with a non franchised body repair shop. Look at the difference. A bad repair carried out in 2012 via Porsche Hatfield and they rectify it at no cost over a decade later. Incredible service level.

As expected Porsche via PCO honouring paying for correcting the poor qp repair by Fast Lane Ltd via OPC Hatfield :)

Will defo take 997 to a few PCGB events for fun. I've only ever been to one car meet at Porsche Hatfield and my then 993 9m RS won the concours best over all car R21 thanks to 911 Virgins amazing prep work on her. Sublime 911. Yellow Peril.

Here is what they say about the repairs by https://autobodytechnic.com I honestly do not know why I went to them. More trust of 911v tbh look at how they prepared Yellow Peril.

This was quite frankly an abortion of a repair. I knew it. But all those involved advising me its good repair. Such poor form IMO. A word of advice. You become the company you keep.

Excited though! Very excited as this project passed all my man maths tests with zero guilt :ROFLMAO:

I'll leave the PCGB membership to have look at this QP and sill repair and decide if it merits an £11,500 repair bill.

Footnote: Bob held on to my poor 911 turbo for 12 months to serve up this. So cheap and embarrassing.

For the record a few pics of main damage on car when I had light off on track.

This was what it looked like post repair. Still not straight sadly and paint chipping and flaking.

The NS quarter panel being 10mm out actually even worse in my book than the above repair so I am very pleased my turbo is now finally in good hands.

I haven't reached out to the Porsche Central Operations team recently but will try and get more pics. Must getting close to new paint now hopefully preparation phase soon complete. Should look fantastic touring and track days with our Gulf Blue 991 when finished in her new PTS hue [;)]
