Jason,

Ah - there! Yes, I know where you mean. Just by the mini roundabout that always seems to have a traffic jam on it? I know it well - it's en route to Euro Car Parts for me.

Good RV point. Thanks. Name your time to meet ...

And - yes- other chaps, let us know whether you want to meet us there or meet us at the final destination. Jon, John, Mas, I guess you will all be meeting us there. McNulters - are you going to make the trip? Edd, Chas, how about you?

If we all turn up it should be quite a party. Enough to show those 911-owning fellas a thing or two about how car should be laid out, for sure ...

Oli.

Yes I would have liked to have done this, however my S2 is currently at Daytona Coachworx having a front end respray so looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer before my first event of the year...

Hope you have a good'n though.

Edd

Edd,

Whereabouts in London are you? You could come without your S2, or if you are east-end-ish I am sure we could pick you up.

Oli.

I'll meet y'all at the Golf club seeing as I am heading there from completely the opposite direction from everyone else !

Well, my cooling system is almost done. Rad in, stat in, pipes connected, left to do is the fan housing. IF I can get the heater matrix done this weekend and the car is fine you should see me down that way indeed :). Half of the dash is out, hoping to have it all done by the end of the week.

I'm in N8, Crouch End which may be a bit far for you.
If you can catch a tube down to Mile End, I can collect you from the station.

Oli.

ETA: Chas, 'twould be great to see you if you do manage to complete the job for then ...

Umm, the meet is at 8.00am. I'd hope to be there a little before then.

There is no meeting time yet fixed with Jason at Redbridge, so I suggest that we make that time 7.00pm. (Jason, is that OK with you? It should leave plenty of time to get out to Essex.)

Therefore, I'll need to leave Mile End area sometime as soon after 6.15pm as possible. Edd, what time could you be at Mile End?

Oli.

hiya oil, that time is fine with me , so see you at the red house car park at 7pm on tues, great to hear edd is on board, anybody else in the east london/essex areas who are up for it? leaving red house public house car park around 7pm on tues,[car park is next to m11 roundabout, opposite redbridge tube station] see you then regards jason p

Hopefully we will have a long line of 944's ! , I will try and be there slightly before 8 as last time the speeker started prety much on time and I strol;led in all casual like
( at quarter past) [:D]

This sounds like a plan coming together. Which is great!

Traffic will be the killer. Jason - 7.00pm, sure. My concern is the A12 (I think) from Mile End to Redbridge (I know the road well, just don't know the number!) At that time of night it is pretty busy, and usually chocka. 15 minutes on a good run, but I'll leave 45 or an hour.

Agreed - if we can be there before 8.00pm that would be great. Is there to be a speaker this time? In my experience of such events, the aim of the evening is to stand around with a glass of coke (driving), looking at tin. Although I guess the weather may not yet be good enough for that.

I've PM'ed Andrew Churcher to see if he is interested - I know he is a local boy as well.

Oli.

hiya oli, i will get to red house car park for 6.45pm, traffic so variable over hackney marshes, could take 10mins as well as 45mins, so i will arrive a tad early.oli do think chelmsford via romford or down the m11? i am easy either way! see you then. regards jason p, be good to meet andrew c if he can make it.

Jason,

Great.

No particular preference on route. Is one likely to be any quieter than the other?

Andrew C is a very affable antipodean with an immaculate red S2. If he can make it then it would be excellent! I'm meeting Edd beforehand so will give him a lift up to join the party.

Ooooh I'm looking forward to it already!

Oli.

Hi All - just mentioned to Oli that I am in holidays at the moment so cant make it. Shame - I am hoping you lot take charge, it goes well, and there is a round 2! Good luck lads [;)]
