A huge 'thank you' to the GT4 design team ...

A 'masterpiece' does not make 'the 1 car to keep forever'. Daft comment.

Nor does it make 'the perfect car'. How can anyone think there's such a thing !

I do think you can have the 'perfect garage'.

I'm delighted with the masterpiece GT4 that gets so many rave reviews.

With my Cayenne Turbo, Renault Megane F1, 993 C4S, original AudI RS6 & Defender 90, I think I've got a near perfect garage.

what car gets a bad review these days, so all mater pieces :) ? and who keeps cars by reviews or what the press say ?

as for perfect garage, well that's a whole new debate ;-)

997.2 RS 4.0 Ferrari 458 Speciale

Audi RS6 avant (new one) 987.2 Boxster Spyder

would be along the lines of mine but its a £800k garage, but we thread drift.

I agree with you there MrD.

I own and drive an R for what it is, a superb transmitter of road feel in every department, and, it happens to fit me like a made to measure glove. I didn't buy my CR because of any heritage nonsense. I traded up from well-specced 987.2 Cayman S to a better driver's car. Simple as that.

As time wore on, I got over the gravitational pull of hankering after a GT4, aided by the fact I wasn't considered eligible by my OPC to be placed on the long waiting list.

Meantime, I happy to be running my R for another year yet, both tracking and touring. It excels at both.
