A real 944 Turbo S

Answer ... if Porsche annotated it as M44*RC .... Rennsport Cup ?

The engine is definitely an M44.52 with an M44/52 47J0**** engine number allocated on the original build sheet ... but it was a car kept by Porsche as a Blaupunkt camera car and sold by them in May '89 with 400km on the clock ... engine number RC / A944 on the importation documents to Italy ... :)
 
RC as in replacement crankshaft or replacement conrods or replacement core or replacement whatever. Cup engines never had specific labels.
