Ace meet moving to Saturday from 2009

Excellent meet! It was good meeting everyone, lots of new faces... sorry if I missed talking to you... The marshal said he counted over 65 Porsches throughout the night and the compound had at least 45-50 Porsches at any given time.. Please do post ideas of things to do while you are at Ace for future meets as we get more daylight and the weather gets warmer and drier. Here is a suggestion I got from one of the members: - One of the members has a noise checker and is happy to bring it along and do a check on what db each volunteer's Porsche gets to. Also, if you noticed we had lots of family and especially kids and so would like ideas of what they would like too: - One of the suggestion I have is to get the Met police (who come to Ace to give talks to the bikers all the time) to bring in Police bikes, so the kids can get on, take photos, talk to the cops and also have the cops bring in their high performance car they used for work, so kids and adults alike can enjoy and get educated (indirectly) on police work and safe driving. Obviously, everything has to be clear with Ace Management, but I don't see a problem with sensible ideas... Also, Porsche Centre Hatfield are always keen on bringing in a Porsche or two of the latest model, so if you want to see a particular model and can't be asked to drop by at a centre then drop me a note and I forward the request. Alex (Porsche technician) will continue to come along, so if you have any technical questions about your Porsche then get hold of me to introduce you to him. Finally, I didn't manage to get my camera out for photos, so if you have capture a good shot which you wouldn't mind me using in the next Porsche Post regional report then please forward it to me at the usual email address: r20 AT porscheclubgb.com See you all on Saturday, 21st Feb.

My 6yr old had a great time and managed to find a little lad to play with (that im not sure was part of PCGB). So i wud suggest the more people that bring the kids along the easier it makes it on the grown ups to mingle and it makes it more of a family affair.

Ace Cafe meet tonight, just in case you need a reminder... lovely day for a drive and meet so see you all later on.

I went along tonight for a brief visit. 15 cars including mine at the time. Some great cars there. A 997 GT3 (lhd), 997 GT3RS black/orange (my favourite!), but the one that stood for me was an imported 1984 3.2, set up for track work. Fitted with a 993 varioram, numerous other changes, including a ducktail. 320bhp, and just 1020kg!

This one ..... actually 325.6 BHP ........ [:D]

Hi Dave, Ace is open for all, so everyone is welcomed but non-Porsche cars will not get a parking in the Ace compound; plenty of parking outside on the public road though. Remember the 18 July meet is a lunch time BBQ starting from 11am and open to us till 4pm.

Cheers I have been to the ACE a few time for different meets as it is only 15 minutes away from me so know the deal and where to park [:)] Thanks and I look forward to meeting some of you and getting some info if possible Dave [:D]

ORIGINAL: THX911 ....I like Fatboys and if there isn't much response from the Porsche owners in that areas then we will move it to a mailing list meet, so we can pick a day in any given month or every other month and enjoy the burgers and milkshakes followed by a drive somewhere...
Hi Kish, Is there a mailing list I need to be joining ?? I'm in E14 & know FatBuoys well :)) Best Regards, Andy (masthouse) 964 (eventually !!)

It looks like I may just have to drop in on the next one of these on the 15th of August!!!
