Ace meet moving to Saturday from 2009

ORIGINAL: RevEm I will be coming to the next meet too.
I'll be there; for August we have for the last 2 years ended up on Waterloo Bridge after the Ace Meet (gets decided on the day if we have a reasonable number interested). Let me know if anyone is up for a convoy from Ace to London Eye to Waterloo Bridge. Photos from last year:

I will be up for the drive to Waterloo Bridge if there is a good convoy going. Fantastic photography, Great photos THX911.

Thanks Darren, Welcomed to the club and London region. make sure you follow this note below (link) to get your forum account linked with your membership: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=446453 The photos at the Eye are tricky, as you sort of get 5-10minutes before you are asked to move on by security; Waterloo bridge is great with the 360 panaromic view of north and south bank of Thames: Big Ben, Eye, etc on one side and St Pauls on the other... don't forget a tripod, great for night photography (Weather permitting)

ORIGINAL: Nick_USA So how many people normally turn out for this event ???
It varies; for the summer months we have averaged 30 Porsches... several PCGB regions set a convoy and that can up the numbers by 15-20 (think the furthest day convoy we have had was from Manchester region). From 2010 I am in talks with Ace to move it to the last Monday of the month as on Saturday we get people turning up early 5:30-6pm and disappearing by 8pm but weekdays we used to have a good number of regulars staying till close (11pm). So any of you waiting to make an Ace visit and cannot make it during the working day have a few more Saturdays left in the year to drop by. Last Monday of the month would be perfect if we get the slot as we would get two bank holidays Mondays (May and August) for those who find it difficult to get to Ace on a working day. See you on Saturday! Regards, Kish

Should I assume that there is enough on-site parking for everyone who turns out in their Porsche?

Yes! Unless everyone with Porsche are also attending the U2 concert and looking for free parking [;)]

...guess, London cops are not used to seeing an LPG tank in a Porsche and with the high security due to the U2 concert at Wembley they couldn't take the risk. I arrived just when all the action and panic was over and obviously the cops were not too happy but had to laugh it out when the bomb squad said it was indeed an LPG tank. The comments/words which were pass to me by the cops are best discussed with the owner and not on a public forum [:)]

OMG.. Nick I just noticed you had me in pic three sitting behind the white 964 and my red 944 T... did I not say I have copyright on all my pics....[:)] was good to meet you and your wife.. oh and welcome back to good old blighty and yes I agree with you shame to leave the US. I didn't want to return from working in Texas last month either....[:(] Pete

I'll be there, hopefully it will still stay as warm as it has been last week...

It wasn't so bad at the weekend as the factories were quiet and there was a breeze..... as for the rest of the week, the air-con in the building gave some respite from the smog
