Another Pedal..

I hope it’s not “the end”, Ralph. I’m sure you could continue to give us the benefit of your experience on the Cayman forum - and we need to hear how you get on with the new car. A bit of ‘compare and contrast’ would be good.

All the best with the new beast; hope you enjoy it.

Gordon.

Random modification Q:

Has anyone investigated swapping out the rear wing for the 718 Clusport one?

I think JCR had their car with a carbon wing with the swan necks though I am not sure where they sourced it from.

Nick

You can acquire thru BGB Motorsport in the US And sean neck mounts. All fits to 981/718 GT4. Discussion on Rennlist. Big money IIRC USD5k.

Also JCR Carbon Composite 718 GT4 Clubsport Wing complete with swan neck supports installed on the JCR 718 GT4.

What about the front aero? JCR said on rennlist that they run more rake, assuming that this rebalances but I ran more rake just to improve front grip.

Ralph,

Congratulations on your new 991.2 GT3. Guards Red suits the car well.

You have a cracker of a car there. A couple of years ago I had a run in Mr Demon's 991.2 GT3 also Guards Red. It is an amazing machine.

Enjoy!

Brian

The wing on the JCR car is the 718 Clubsport wing, you can get this from Porsche motorsport if you have part numbers or have a contact that has access to the motorsport parts catalog.

Give JCR a call, as Snowy says, big money. Even the 981 Clubsport wing or the Manthey Racing 981 Wing is expensive also.... still on my shopping cart though. Lol

I have put up some parts over in the for sale section, Pepita seat centres, Motorsport tow loops & bolster protectors.

Ralph,

Those bolster protectors look like a ‘must buy’ item for anyone with LWBs in a GT4. I’m sure they’ll be snapped-up quickly.

Jeff
