April DOTM Cotswolds Classic Car Hub, Bibury - Sunday 7th April 2019

Hmm just seen this,

I registered and booked early doors on the 1st Feb, but I did not get any such reply, I’ve just sent them and email so will see what they say.

Andy

FYI

Just received a call from Ben at the Hub, Apparently my order did not go through and as they are now fully booked I'm No3 on their reserve list.

He said they will be emailing everyone who has already booked for their attendance confirmation later today, so It's a wait and see from me.

hi , think we will start from this side of Rugby and travel down Fosse. We will leave Barby about 8:30 and go down via M45 to Fosse through Princethorpe. At moment me (996cab) my son (968) and neighbour in car yet to be decided[:D]

This will ease size of convoy for you, if any others Rugby area want to join us feel free

Hi everyone.

I just typed something like this but I think I lost it. If you see two posts from me, I hope they say roughly the same thing!!

Sorry I have been off the radar but I have not been back from Oz long enough to get up to full speed.

But I have noted all your comments and notes of where you will be and when, so I look forward to seeing everyone at the Super Sausage, unless you haver advised otherwise.

Some people have not confirmed. That's fine and anyone can make their own way. But if you wish to join the convoy, please note the first car has to be away at 8.00 am.

Manuel. thanks for the offer of the regular video. I will have my GoPro.

Les, thanks for dealing with lunch arrangements. I don't know if the lunch venue has room, but Tony and I would like to join the table if possible. Having not pre-ordered we will have to take our turn and wait as necessary for the food. If we can't get in, so be it (no worries as they say in Oz!)

Nice meeting you all today, we really enjoyed our first R10 event and first visit to The Classic Motor Hub.

A big shout out to Mark for organising this - I owe you a coffee next time I see you.

Cheers

yep nice to meet you all, great cars, nice people and a great drive out, no i still dont want to touch your steering wheel [:D]

Morning all,

Good to meet you Bren, Gail, Mark and Deirdre. I’m glad you enjoyed our day out and hope to see you at more events very soon.

We ended up at Hook Norton Brewery for lunch. It’s an amazing place, and in itself a good possibility for a future R10 event. Watch this space!

Sorry not to see a few people who had booked. Hope all is ok with you, and that you just preferred a lie-in on a chilly Sunday!!!😳

Cheers.

Mark

Hi, had good run down Fosse yesterday from Rugby. Road surprisingly clear. My sons 968 was put in the square opposite the cafe, mine in normal carpark with the rest. Sorry didn't catch up with you but spoke with Mike and Andy. Didn't get to the brewery but will pop down for a look when get spare time during the week, good excuse to get car out.

Thanks for highlighting this place, never heard of it before will go again

Another great R10 drive out I did enjoy both my "trips".....and amazed we all kept together.

Thanks to Mark for finding a great route there and everybody who made the day special.

Hopefully I'll get to a club meeting at some point this year ......

John.

Great day indeed! I have like 8 hours of footage so it will take me some time to have the video ready.

John, do you mean we need to organize a drive ending in Sharnbrook for you to come to a meeting? :) we will organize a photoshoot there so you have an excuse to go.

Thank you all!

Manuel

Saw your son’s nice 968 Geoff, but sorry to have missed you. I stumbled across the Hub on a recce for another trip but it was my first actual event there - I thought it was great and will be going again in September. Might go to Hook Norton for lunch again too!

Thanks for the compliment John. I think each event gets more enjoyable the more we all get to know each other. Looking forward to seeing you at a meeting some time!

We are expecting another great video Manu - no pressure!!

Cheers all. Thanks for your support.

Mark
