What a nice surprise! Spyder on the cover, Spyders throughout and a great write up of our adventure[ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Absolutely. I mean, the Spyder is a magazine cover star!Looks a particularly fine example ;-)![]()
http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=719756&mpage=181 I think you're right daro. The more polished the engineering on a new car, I think the more powerful an engine it needs to maintain some drama. As robK said, it's a bit disappointing that car. It's 'nice' but when you want to get up some speed on a straight before scrubbing it off to enter a corner, with a faster car, you have to work at scrubbing off serious speed getting back down to the corner entry speed, which is a thrill, and also the corner exit acceleration is a thrill. With this car, the speed it generates on a straight (i'm talking short straights and i'm talking about working within the speed limit on a national speed limit but twisty road) means there isn't much thrill with the speed you're working with on corner entry. The chassis and brakes being so good too, there's no thrill and drama in the little speed you have to work with as the chassis and brakes are way better than what is being thrown at them. But I tried to see beyond the engine and get a feel for the car and I think it just needs the 3.4 to complete the package and maintain the thrill alongside the 'niceness'.ORIGINAL: daro911 First class report flat6 and sounds par for the course  So even if there was to be a 981 Spyder the original Spydermen may find certain characteristics have been removed for better or worse depending on ones stand point[8D]  [link=http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=ZPpjiJT82FlK1M&tbnid=gHwkra3Eqz-jKM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rennteam.com%2Fforum%2Fthread%2F20323504%2FGoodbye_RS60_Spyder__Hello_981S%2Fpage5.html&ei=2G_EUdnEH-jt0gXsj4Bg&bvm=bv.48293060,d.d2k&psig=AFQjCNHzdFDzmUC2D9y4W_BW7Z1jAbHkvA&ust=1371914552972820][/link]![]()

Yeah you're right John, from the side, all the silver accents just works [ORIGINAL: jdpef356 The wheels do demonstrate how the silver outer line on the edge of the rims picks up the Script on a Black Spdyer - suits it I think[]

Maybe he deleted AC as one of the biggest weight savings, vs the radio being one of the smallest, but then he went off piste deleting the lightest wheels as well[ORIGINAL: VvrooomM Think this was a Bristol/Cardiff car when I was buying and I bought their other one. All the dosh spent on options bringing the weight up but they didn't tick the AC box - odd!!
All those options and no air con will make this a very hard sale IMO This cars spec makes no sense to me what so ever was the air con delete a dealer mishap[:-]ORIGINAL: flat6Maybe he deleted AC as one of the biggest weight savings, vs the radio being one of the smallest, but then he went off piste deleting the lightest wheels as well[ORIGINAL: VvrooomM Think this was a Bristol/Cardiff car when I was buying and I bought their other one. It's here! Picked it up late Saturday morning form Leicester Porsche having had its new wheels fitted and I absolutely love it. It's now filthy after almost two tanks of fuel and 300 plus miles. Excuse the poor pics but iPhone and poor light.

Good choice of colour and wheels. Some would say its the best combination [
] I saw one just like it at the National Trust place i went to - Polesden Lacey, this afternoon - very clean but no PCGB sticker. Just back from the 500+ mile round trip after visiting friends in Surrey. Nearly took the Spyder but glad I didn't, the BM was the better tool for the job.
Congrats and enjoy. Let us know how it compares to your previous steeds[ORIGINAL: White Spyder It's here!
