Simple........... Buy a Ferrari 430 Spider or if you can afford it get a 458 coupe, you know it makes sense, the itch will never go until you get one!!! Kenny 430 spiderORIGINAL: MrDemon I agree it is great to see one being used. But the Porsche brand has gone mental now. the better driver cars are so limited numbers only the rich and famous can buy them, then Porsche state they want to make 200,000 cars a year but you cannot order a Macan either esp a turbo. The new GT4 again is said to be very limited with OPC's only getting 3 cars each (at least I am very high on the list for one of those) but any one who now wants one is screwed or you pay 15k over list for one. I'll prob just sell mine and put 15k in my pocket which is a shame. my local OPC stated they are getting people buying GT3's not even to drive them now, just rich foke off the street asking what is a GT3, can I have one. the car market is deluded. As for my GT3,cannot ever remember saying it was the best car ever, It was frustrating from the word go, but think if I had kept it what it would be worth and that's the annoying bit. lets say 20k more than I paid atm. I don't want to buy cars which you dare not use as the price drops 30k over night if you put a few miles on it. even Spyder prices are 10k from bottom to top just because of miles. I am better off putting it in a garage out the way. I am a car enthusiast, and I don't see many people about who are true car enthusiasts any more, people want to go faster easier !! maybe have to go back and visit Lotus owner ship, normal money and true car enthusiasts who enjoying driving and tracking and seeing 30k miles on one makes no odds. I spent 5 years in Lotus and loved all 5, Porsche seem a bit one up man ship and if you don't have a GT3 you are no body. And the TTRS well it did what it did very well, fastest A to B car ever in any weather, 430lb/ft torque from 3k revs and would out drag a 911 turbo of the same ilk. and because the torque was low down you could use 100% of the power quite a lot of the time. Not a drivers car so to speak, but a serious car for going from A to B in the wet and that was the fun. drivers cars are an end of an era, PDK, rear wheel steer, electric steering, e diffs, MAG ride, and to think we all took the piss out of GTR owners for the playstation car, now all cars will be this !!!!! so to sum up, garage the Spyder, buy a Exige cup car and drive more or just do the Super car thing and look at it or "look a tit" depending on peoples views on super cars. which would you buy, I have the need to buy some thing , just don't know what atm
458 Spider £25k off list is the norm today and then you can get under 1000 mile examples between 179-189k[] LP circa £230-250k[&:] http://www.tomhartley.com/used-cars/FERRARIORIGINAL: MrDemon 458 coupe out of price range :-( would love one, the things are dropping like a stone though, people losing 50k in 12 months on them !!! also loads for sale, so I hope the 458 will be 120k soon

Would love to get myself into a 458 Spider but price difference between that and 430 Spider is still £100k which means it is well out of my price range. I think 458 Spiders will fall much more in near future as coupe's have, Mr Demon is right it will not be long until we have 458's at £120k or less especially if the rumoured 458 replacement arrives in 2015. We seem to be down to just 4 cars in total out of circa around 200 still un the UK today [] At this rate it will be easier to pickup a used 981 GTS before the years outORIGINAL: jdpef356 Demand ias ever still strong and little stock to choose from http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-spyder/2723757 This should not hang around long!
Wanted one just like it for a member on a budget someone must know of one or thinking of selling in the future.ORIGINAL: daro911 Deposit taken on the 41k mile 911V Spyder[]Surprisingly in a very short time frame They have to be the Number 1 UK Spyder sellers to date [link=http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/866/BoxsterSpyderPDK/]http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/866/BoxsterSpyderPDK/[/link]
I appreciate that you weren't having a pop at the driver. It's hard to get the sentiment right when one is typing things on forums (which is why I scarcely do so!), so please don't think I was having a go at you. You definitely seem to have the measure of your spyder! I think I could learn a few tips! I just found this particularly interesting as I have shared my spyder back to back on trackdays a couple of times with a friends gen2 RS, and on short and technical tracks like cadwell and blyton park, for me the RS is still in a different league. Once a gap is created by th 911 we both find it almost impossible to close it again. However I must agree with you that on a larger track like spa or the nurburgring it would be a lot more pronounced (not taken spyder to either unfortunately-yet).ORIGINAL: clubsport My response to the 4.0 on the track wasn't so much knocking the driver, more that the 4.0 was literally too much car for the indy circuit, which is why I mentioned how different things would be on a larger flowing circuit.
Cheers Dylan way to expensive and a Man box as said a low budget as i e virgin car needed wanted. Beside that car was a private sale last week for £37,950. Thanks for the thought Dylan.
Suspect I will own it for a long time - want to take it to the Alps and looks like I am too busy to go this year so am probably a minimum of a year away from even considering it. Would be hard coming up with a replacement too that ticks the same boxes. Although you never know...ORIGINAL: flat6Hi John. I guess that is Rob and I[] Don't tell tyinsky and let's see if I can make a steal[]ORIGINAL: jdpef356 So it looks like two of our founder members instead of selling could have put on more miles and still asked for more money[&:]
This interests me. With a remap. Need to make a decision soon as to whether I do this or renew the warranty - service light is saying 900 miles.ORIGINAL: MrDemon I was tempted to just buy the Gert modded standard 55MM R exhaust for £1.2k, he mods it to sound louder than the PSE and of course it's 55mm not 48mm.

ORIGINAL: daro911Looking forward to seeing it - in the meantime New Page New Spyder Pic[]ORIGINAL: Rocket Man Will get some pictures of the car this weekend, we will be at Ormskirk Motor fest Sunday with an other Spyder and Oulton Park Monday. Hope for better weather
Still leaning towards it. Not a large amount of money in comparison to the 'what if?'. Larger exhaust diameter, remap, gt3 plenum etc are all things that are tempting me away from it. Sad thing is I'd probably not be able to feel the difference!ORIGINAL: MrDemon For me I don't see the value of warranty on these cars, it just limits what you can buy for it ESP tyres.

Morning all, thought i would ask you all a quick question, Had a letter from Porsche OPC asking about buying my car, they put that they are looking for stock especially Boxster, They seem to have a lot of Boxsters and Caymans for sale. Is this a general enquiry they send out and have some of you received them or would they perhaps have someone looking for my spec Spyder?
