Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I take my suncap off to you because not only are you a coupe man at heart you couldn't have bought a more primitive form of drop top for your first venture to proper motoring. Joking aside if you were ever thinking of a 981 Cayman or 911 coupe I think that would prove to be the most serious motoring mistake on your CV to date as you are finally getting into exposing yourself at every given opportunity [8D][:D]

Thanks. I hear you daro [:)] My perfect garage would be to have a 911 coupe as daily driver alongside the Spyder for sunny days. Can't see me giving up the Spyder FOR a 911 coupe, so will have to find a way to have both[:-]

Hi John. Nothing planned as yet, but I had suggested that if any of us are going, we should try to co-ordinate. Are you going? I've yet to look into what is happening on what day and therefore decide which day(s) i'm going to attend. Is that level of detail even available yet? I've only seen on the website the Concours is on the Saturday and the parade lap on the Sunday. Is there any more detail available? Haven't check my latest Porsche Post yet. Would be good to meet you and the other Spydermen.

As we seem to have become a Spyder Forum[:D] I think we should make an effort to beat this picture of USA Spydermen in action on their side of the pond Rob K has quite a few Spydermen to ask on other Forums so if we could set the ball rolling to have the largest single gathering in the UK to date that would be a great web indeed [8D]

Homerdog, I was going to say the owner must've had the biggest complex about the Boxster name - the side decals are so huge. But he's got the full badge on the tail. There's also a Porsche badge on the windscreen[&:] Red wheels work on a white GT3 RS but for some reason, I agree, it doesn't work on that Spyder. Kitchens, Gouldian, i'll make sure there are no wheelie bins or balancing briefcases in my next shot [:D]

It was clearly a *rubbish* picture... Let's see who can make it to Anglesey on 27th April. Sadly Rob is struggling but flat6 and I will be there.

You'll have to be quick by the look of it. Anyone else seen how this thread is developing? Same story as the 911V car. Went up Friday night no pics and was sold Saturday morning over the phone and no pics ever got posted Goes to show the weather can be freezing bloody cold, dull, miserable and no sign of spring in the air and people will still buy these unique light weight Porsches [8D] What a fantastic turn around since the market was flooded with Spyders back in 2011-12 The future is definitely "Orange"

[:D]*rubbish*[:D] Who else is going Anglesey, Spyder or otherwise? How about this interior for a sight for sore eyes. The other car I keep my eye on in the market besides the Spyder is the 997.1 turbo. The 2 would make the perfect garage for me. Each car is everything the other isn't. I'm not sure if i'd buy a yellow turbo but I do like how the exterior looks, including the red tailight option against the yellow. But the interior is too much!! I'd probably stop at yellow instrument dials.

This car is on sale at your OPC. I dare any of the 997 boys to say they'd take on yellow. I've only seen one chap on here with a yellow turbo and his pic did look good from the outside.

I'm with you flat6. A yellow turbo would sit nicely in my garage next to the Spyder - it would cope better with those wintery trips over the M62 to see my Grandad! Sadly, I can't afford both and as a second car for me, the Spyder edges it. I do like them though and they can be seriously quick, as Jeremy ably demonstrated at Oulton Park! That orange interior is ghastly though.

It's certainly hotting up and there's clearly and much larger Spyder world outside of PCGB (unless other Spyder owning PCGB members are not active on the PCGB forum). I'll have join PH at some point. Perhaps when Spyders do eventually become extinct at OPC's [:)]

I can't afford both either. I'll have to start a thread to drum down the value of the turbo's, but it'll never work[:D] It's strange how the interior is a darker shade then the exterior. But then, the seat backs look to match the exterior[&:] May be just a bad camera. http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clients.print_car?fin_=WP0ZZZ99Z8S782189&lang_=EN

If we're lucky, Nick_USA might post up some nice pics of Boxster in Orange. I think Orange would work really well. They should have offered Orange and Green like on the Cayman S Sport

I don't mind the orange Spyder at all - albeit that picture looks like a photoshop. The other interior shots of that turbo look like the extras are yellow not orange, still way OTT though - just the seatbelts would be enough!
